Joey Image refused to tag in during the match. (Joey Image issued an open challenge following the 6-Man Tag Team match, which was answered by Action Unlimited newcomer Tomahawk)

"Native American Sensation" Tomahawk defeated Joey Image by pinfall after a Superfly Splash.

Autumn Breeze and Jessie Belle went to a No-Contest in Action Unlimited's first-ever Women's Strap Match. The referee, who was attacked with the straps by both women, simply refused to continue the match, and walked away. Breeze and Belle continued to brawl until The Ghostbusters hit the scene and separated them.

ECW Originals "Chair Swinging Freak" Axl Rotten & "Dancing" Stevie Richards defeated Big Daddy Molson & Saturday Nite (The Outlaws) by pinfall when Stevie Richards pinned Saturday Nite following a "Stevie Kick".

Cadillac Stanks & J-Weezy (w/Pandora & Ms. Sivi) defeated The Lawless Idols (Mike Marvel and Sean Silence) and The Ghostbusters (Stantz & Venkman, w/ Dr. Tully) to become Number 1 Contenders to the Action Unlimited Tag-Team Champions.

"Serious Business" Andy Header defeated Vin Gerard by pinfall with an Inside Cradle. Gerard blindsided Header following the match. Andy Header is now the Number 1 Contender for theAction Unlimited Anthracite Championship.

Ryan Zero & Mike Vaughn defeated Action Unlimited Tag-Team Champions The Westies (Banger Howe & Head The Ice Crusher) for the Action Unlimited Tag-Team Championship in a Tables Match when Zero delivered an Ace Crusher from the top rope, driving Ice Crusher through a table. Following the match, both Zero & Vaughn suplexed Ice Crusher through the table a second time.

Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion A.J. Evers defeated "Technical Nightmare" Matt Turner by pinfall following 2 Flying Elbowdrops.

Turner Guarantees Victory At AU6; "Indestructible" Champion Disagrees

Matt Turner doesn't think much of Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion "Indestructible" AJ Evers.

In fact, Turner doesn't seem to think much of anyone in Action Unlimited. After this mornings telephone conversation with "The Technical Nightmare", we herer at AnthraciteWrestling.blogspot.com are convinced that Turner doesn't think much of us.

"It's not that you guys are completely useless, it's that you'll never be TOTALLY useful...understand?" Turner asked as he condescended to our level for a few moments.

"This Evers kid is in the same boat. Did he ASK to be inferior to me? Obvoiusly not. It's a bad spot to find yourself in, for sure. Not the end of the world, though. I never said the kid sucked...he doesn't. He's just not anywhere as good as I am...see?"

It was a long conversation to say the least. After listening to Mr. Turner discuss at length such subjects as Old Forge Devils High School basketball, the superiority of Old Forge pizza, and the best places to rent a car, Mr. Turner decided to focus on his opponent again.

"Look, the kid has gone about as far as his talent will take him. He had a run of...what...6 months as champion? Thats a MIRACLE to a kid like that. He's popular and all that junk, but let's face it: Matt Turner is the next Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion. I guarantee it."

In speaking with A.J. Evers, we feel Mr. Turner's confidence may be misplaced.
"I'm very aware of who Matt Turner is. I know he is an exceptionally talented wrestler and a former champion. I see how he's approaching this match with me, and I can tell you he's making a huge mistake. I am not the underdog people like Turner write me off to be. This Saturday I'll make that point at Matt Turner's expense. I am the Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion, and this Saturday I will STAY the Champion."

Matt Turner vs AJ Evers takes place as part of Action Unlimited VI: The Day Of Reckoning this Saturday Night at the Irem Country Clu in Dallas, PA. Belltime is 7pm.

"The Hardcore, Chair Swingin' Freak" may be the authority on The Outlaws witin Action Unlimited. Ever since The Outlaws brutal double-team attack at Action Unlimited IV, Rotten has been searching for a partner capable of matching his fire and determination. Most wrestling fans would agree that he has succeeded in spades with the discovery and signing of his partner this Saturday Night at Irem Country Club: Bonafide Pro Wrestling Superstar "The Original King Of Swing" Dr. Stevie Richards.

This evening, we at Action Unlimited were informed that negotiations are now underway to bring Pro Wrestling Superstar and "Original King Of Swing" Stevie Richards to "Action Unlimited VI: The Day Of Reckoning" on June 3rd.

As many of you know, Mr. Richards is known throughout the wrestling world as the leader of the b.W.o (Blue World Order) as well as the leader of the reviled Right To Censor. He has recently appeared as "Dr. Stevie" for TNA on Spike TV.

We will share any and all information on the situation as it becomes available. Keep checking back for the latest on this situation.

Action Unlimited officials were in contact with Mr. Rotten throughout the evening, and have made arraingements to schedule Axl at our event this upcoming June 19th.)

Hello Action Unlimited Fans,

I want to start by saying thank you to each and every person who took the time to come out to an Action Unlimited Showcase last season. With your help, Action Unlimited:Anthracite Wrestling has raised nearly $10,000.00 for various charities, and has raised awareness for many different organizations. We will continue as we move into Season 2 to continue this trend with your continued support in our product. I've said it a hundred times, and I'll say it again here: Action Unlimited has the greatest fans anywhere. I can't wait to see all of you at our showcases this season.

Speaking of our next season, we kick it off on Friday, May 14th at the Wright Township Firehall in Mountain Top. Action Unlimited hosted our Winter Showcase here in January as a fundraiser for Fireman Chris Krout. Krout, and the rest of the fire crew at Wright Township, are very active in fund-raising for The National Multiple Sclerosis research. Wright Township will host a Walk To Fight MS on May 22nd at Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre. It is and will always be our policy to be active in as many charitable causes as possible, so I am ecstatic to be partnered with the Wright Township Fire Department in lending a hand to a wonderful cause.

Our summer is really starting to fill up, as following our showcase on May 14th, we make our first appearance at The Irem Shrine Country Club in Dallas for “Action Unlimited VI: The Anthracite Invitational”. At this showcase event, Action Unlimited will debut a brand new match concept in an effort to crown a new number one contender to the Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship. 16 of the top performers in Action Unlimited will be specifically invited by me and members of my staff to participate in this contest and, in the process, earn an opportunity at a Championship which is fast becoming the talk of Pro Wrestling. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself on this one; I just want to let everyone know that we are always looking for new ways to entertain our fans.

As we move closer to May 14th and “Action Unlimited V: The Reborn”, I am somewhat surprised by the reaction I’ve been receiving from fans regarding the announcement that Philadelphia standout Vin Gerard has been granted a title opportunity on May 14th. More specifically, the concern comes from the fact that, by the virtue of pinfall victories over Mike Vaughn and Andy Header at our last showcase event, Matt Turner is the recognized number one contender. As has been stated in other columns appearing on this site, Mr. Turner has a prior engagement on May 14th and has opted to take what he describes as “a vacation day”. I hope Mr. Turner enjoys his downtime, but Action Unlimited moves forward. Our fans deserve a spirited main event, and I believe that these two young me…Evers and Gerard…fit the bill of what Action Unlimited competitors are all about.

It is with great pleasure that I welcome Ryan “Acid” Zero back to the active roster here in Action Unlimited: Anthracite Wrestling. As many of you know, I was personally on hand to witness his tragic accident at the hands of The Westies, and felt a great deal of personal guilt following his injury. My heart absolutely sank when I saw Zero at our last showcase event, as the effects of his injury were still very visible and pronounced. Like most everyone else, I had my doubts as to whether or not Zero would ever make it back into the ring. I’m learning now, however, that I’m not dealing with an average competitor; Ryan Zero possesses the definition of fighting spirit and is the epitome of a pro wrestler. That he has been able to rehabilitate his injury and return is a statement to his will to succeed and his passion for competing. When I received the call from Zero this week asking for a title opportunity at “The Reborn”, I could think of not one good reason why I shouldn’t grant his request. As you readers know, I was in the process of terminating Head The Ice Crusher permanently. With Zero’s return and desire for vengeance IN the ring, I have decided to wait on anything drastic and let karma take it from here. I think the world of Mike Vaughn as a competitor, and like them or not, both Westies are extremely talented performers. This match should be an absolute classic, and again, it is my pleasure to present it.

Ryan Zero Returns May 14th: "Acid" & Mike Vaughn Challenge Westies!

Ryan Zero Returns May 14th!

At Action Unlimited III: Indestructible, we here in Action Unlimited witnessed what was almost a terrible tragedy. 23 year old Ryan Zero a 3 year veteran in the Pro Wrestling world, was dropped backwards and head first over the top rope, grazing a table ledge with the back of his head as he fell. The entire staff of Action Unlimited rushed to ringside to help the fallen competitor, and ever since, Ryan Zero has been out of sction.

Ryan Zero was on hand during "Action Unlimited IV: The Ides Of March" last month. Speaking with Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin live in the ring, he informed the
crowd that, while he did not yet have a return date, he did intend to return as soon as possible. This promise was made approx. 6 weeks ago, and very little information has been released since. We here at Action Unlimited wen t on our seasonal hiatus and recieved very littledetails about this situation during that time.

In that light, what we have learned to day is truly shocking; Ryan "Acid" Zero will RETURN to competetion live Friday Night May 14th as part of "Action Unlimited V: The Reborn" It takes place at the Wright Township Firehall in Mountain Top, 477 S. Main Road. On that night, Zero and his regular tag-team partner
Mike Vaughn have been granted an opportunity at the Action Unlimited Tag Team Championship as they collide with the very same men who put Zero out of action some months ago.....Banger Howe and Head The Ice Crusher, collectively the Action Unlimited Tag-Team Champions The Westies.

In speaking to Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin about the situation, Garvin seemed pleased to have Zero returning so soon. "I spoke with (Ryan) Zero today at great length about quite a few things. First and foremost, let me be clear: Zero has been cleared by Action Unlimited's team doctor to return to action on May 14th. Initially, as you can expect,I had some concerns about Zero's health...specifically in a match so high profile so soon. In speaking to Zero, however,he was extremely adamant about signing a match with this specific team as soon as possible." Garvin had much more to say on the matter, but we will be posting his entire "From The Desk Of" feature, so we definitely feel comfortable letting the CEO communicate them in his own words.

As is customary, comments from the controversial Tag-Team Champions have not been forthcoming. And as is usual, we invite either member of The Westies (or their legal team)to contact us with any thoughts they may have on the matter. Just to be clear, this match has already been signed, and will 100% happen on May 14th.

As we here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com are hearing within just the past moments, Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin has contacted us with your Main Event for May 14th. At "Action Unlimited V: Reborn" , Anthracite Champion "Indestructible" A.J. Evers puts his Championship on the line against one of Action Unlimited's all around best athletes: Philadelphia mainstay Vin Gerard.

"He has very impressive credentials." remarked Garvin as we spoke this evening. "We recognize Matt Turner as No.1 contender...let me be clear about that. May 14th has created some difficulty in scheduling Mr. Turner, so we were forced to look at other possible contenders. (Vin) was able to post a victory over Matt Turner during Action Unlimited III, so this definitely makes sense to me."

The heavily anticipated Matt Turner/A.J. Evers title bout has already been announced as part of "Action Unlimited VI: Endless Summer", which takes place June 19th at the Irem Shrine Country Club in Dallas, PA. Should Gerard be successful in Mountain Top June 19th, he would replace Evers as a competitor in that matchup.

Action Unlimited V: Reborn takes place Friday Night, May 14 at the Wright Township Firehall 388 Main St in Mountain Top. Doors open at 6:30 pm, opening bell at 7pm.
More information will be posted over the next 48 hours.

Gene Snitsky had fallen ill and would not be competing. Snitsky will be appearing in
Action Unlimited in the very near future.

"Cannon" Mike Collis defeated "Debonair Millionaire" Darius Carter by pinfall.

"Technical Nightmare" Matt Turner (w/ Bruno DeMaio at ringside) defeated Mike Vaughn
(w/ Doshu Sappo at ringside)with a Backlund bridge. DeMaio held Turner's arms from
the outside during the pinfall.

Cadillac Stanks & The Masked Destroyer defeated Gutz N Glory (Sgt. Bob "Shotgun Blast" Dick & JP "Howitzer" Karpovich) and the team of "Double R Superstar" Ray
Ray Marz & Lil Nicky. Gutz N Glory first eliminated Mars/Nicky, then were counted out when a brawl erupted at ringside.

Head The Ice Crusher defeated Cadillac Stanks & The Masked Destroyer in a handicapped match to retain the Action Unlimited Tag-Team Championship.

The Outlaws (Big Daddy Molson & Mr. Saturday Night) defeated "The Chair Swinging Freak"Axl Rotten and Dominic Monroe by pinfall. Axl chased both Outlaws from the ringside area following the match.

The Great Khufu (w/ Doshu Sappo) and "War Machine" Bruno DeMaio (w/ Matt Turner) fought to a double disqualification.

"Technical Nightmare" Matt Turner defeated Andy Header by pinfall following interference from Bruno DeMaio. Matt Turner is now the recognized No.1 Contender to the Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship.

"Indestructible" AJ Evers defeated "Banger" Ritch Howe by pinfall after a Flying Elbow Drop. Evers was accompanied to ringside by Ryan "Acid" Zero.

"Action Unlimited is overjoyed to be adding Axl to our roster for March 21st." said Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin just moments ago. Rotten, a competitor known the world over for his hardcore tatics and "Extreme" style , has competed globally for almost two decades and has won major Championships all over the World.

AXL will be available during intermission and after the show for autographs and photos.

"You Will Pay Dearly For Ryan Zero." Gene Snitsky vs Head The Ice Crusher Headlines "Action Unlimited IV"

We here at AnthraciteWrestling.blogspot.com were initially suprised to see the outpouring of concern by Action Unlimited newcomer Gene Snitsky for the injured Ryan Zero. If you remember, Snitsky was the very first competitor on the scene following Zero's horrific injury on March 2nd as part of "Action Unlimited III: Indestructible", and has been in constant contact with Zero since the incident. In fact, as he was watching the ambulance which held Zero head off for a local medical facility, Snitsky had only one thing to say...

"The Westies will pay dearly for this."

This is a VAST departure from the Gene Snitsky of national television fame. In the past, vignettes of a terrifying-looking Snitsky espousing the virtues of pain and punishment on an opponent long after such force was needed was an almost common sight. His merciless attacks on some of the industry's biggest starts has definitely left Snitsky with the reputation of a cold-blooded killer. One need only note his famous line ("It Wasn't My Fault!") to see that Snitsky has never, ever pitied competitors injuries in the past. Why now, it stands to be argued, would Snitsky be so concerned?

The answer to that question may lie in events that foreshadowed Ryan Zero's tragic fall, events that, in hindsight, truly started this conflict that continues Sunday, March 21st at The 109th Armory in Nanticoke.

Earlier in the evening, the reigning Action Unlimited Tag-Team Champions, The Westies, made their way to the ring for a scheduled interview segment. After "Banger" Ritch Howe antagonized the crowd and lambasted he challengers for that evening's Tag-Team Championship match, Head The Ice Crusher grabbed the microphone from his partner. Uncharacteristic as it was for Head to be speaking in public, his intent was no secret: He wanted an immediate fight with Snitsky, and would not be satisfied until the giant accepted. For the next several moments, a stunned Ritch Howe tried desperately to diffuse the situation as every eye in the building fixed on the entrance. Finally, with Black Sabbath's "Iron Man" playing him to the ring, Gene Snitsky made his Action Unlimited debut, and quickly set to putting the champions in their place.

"I'm real tired of your mouths already." Snitsky told both Westies as he entered the ring on March 2nd. "You run down the people who come from this Valley...the people from NEPA? I'M FROM NEPA, punks! If you guys want to pick on someone from NEPA, why not pick on me?"

"Mr. Snitsky....GENE...this is a huge misunderstanding." Stammered a petrified Howe. " (Ice Crusher) can get carried away, you know? I swear that he didn't mean anything by it...I swear!"

"You two clowns better get the hell out of here right now, or I promise there's going to be BIG trouble!" Snitsky screamed at "The Banger" as Ritch tried to gather Head The Ice Crusher, who since Snitsky had entered the ring, had stood no more than a few inches away from him. Finally resorting to physically pulling his partner from the ring, Ritch made it clear that The westies were leaving....but would not forget this incident.

"Why don't you and your girlfriend go get ready to lose your belts?" Snitsky taunted the Champions as Banger and Ice Crusher looked on with fury in their eyes. As the champions walked through the entrance curtain, Action Unlimited representative Chris Decker attempted to get words with them. As Ice Crsher began to speak, however, he was quickly silenced by Howe, who would only make unclear and vague references to a "statement" the team would make later in the night.

Tragically, Ryan "Acid" Zero did, indeed, recieve that statement.
Those who have seen the video of the Tag-Team championship match pitting The Westies against Zero and Mike "Cannon" Collis are well aware of just how violent and rageful the encounter was even BEFORE Zero's fall. In the aftermath of the match, many of us sat in stunned appreciation as the Action Unlimited locker room emptied to run to the aid of a fallen competitor. One notible face in the crowd of competitors was Snitsky himself....doing everything he could to help.

Starting moments after Zero's ambulance left, Snitsky began his campaign to get The Westies, and specifically Head The Ice Crusher, into the ring . Snitsky even went so far as to go to the ring, grab the microphone, and rally the live crowd behind his cause. he challenged whichever Westie would accept to a match march 21st, adding that "...whatever happens to you at my hands...for what you've done to Ryan Zero...whatever happens, remember this: It Wasn't My Fault!"

With the stipulations of the tag-team title match being a guaranteed title shot to the victorious party, and with Ritch Howe scoring the pinfall and earning the title shot, Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin announced this week that it would be Head The Ice Crusher...the man who physically executed the attack on Ryan Zero....who would face Snitsky in the Main Event of "Action Unlimited IV: The Ides Of March".

"It was my distinct pleasure to sign this match." A grinning Ted Garvin told us this morning at Action Unlimited Headquarters, WB. "I think that after all the nonsense The Westies have caused over the last several months, they will find pushing Gene Snitsky around isn't going to be so easy." he continued, barely disguising his excitement. "I don't like making promises, but I will say this: Action Unlimited IV has the potential to be our biggest showcase ever."

It's Official:"Indestructible" AJ Evers Vs "Banger" Ritch Howe For The Anthracite Championship 3/21

Just moments ago, Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin announced that as part of Action Unlimited IV: The Ides Of March, Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion "Indestructible" AJ Evers will defend his Anthracite Championship against co-holder of the Action Unlimited Tag-Team Championship and recognized No. 1 contender "Banger" Ritch Howe. This match, in the making since the two competitors went to a draw in the Anthracite Championship Tournemant in November, will be historical in Action Unlimited, as it will mark the very first time in our history that two recognized champions will compete one-on-one for a championship.

"This is the very last match I want to make." confessed Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin today during a phone conversation. "The thought that somehow Action Unlimited OWES a title shot to Ritch Howe after his role in the Acid Zero attack makes me sick to my stomach. By winning that match, however, Ritch IS the number one contender, and the last thing we need right now is more drama and conflict from "The Westies". I did my job in getting this match signed as soon as I could, but I'm far from happy about it."

As many readers know, the Champion and the Challenger are hardly strangers; Evers has faced Howe in no less than 4 seperate promotions in the last 6 months. Most will remember this past November when Howe and Evers exceeded the time limit and were both subsequently eliminated from the Anthracite Championship Tournament in what was one of the best matches of the evening. In fact, when A.J. debuted in September of 2009, his very first opponent was "Banger". To date, Evers has not defeated Howe by pin or submission. Many feel, however, that based on his recent performances "Indestructible" is way overdue in the win department.

"This match is going to be tough, I'm not going to lie." AJ told us just moments ago after hearing about the match. "But I won this title, and I defend this title against whoever thinks they're better than me. My luck with Ritch hasn't been great in the past, but that was the past. On March 21st, at "The Ides Of March", "Banger" goes on that list of guys everyone said would win, but didn't. Howe's a tough, tough guy....but I'm the Champion, and I'll still be Champion after "The Ides Of March" pass."

Ted Garvin did make it clear that he isn't finished making announcements relating to "The Ides Of March", so expect a public e-mail from our CEO soon.

Triangle Match To Name No.1 Contenders To The Tag-Team Championship Announced.

On March 21st, Action Unlimited has announced a first-ever Anthracite Triangle Match to name new Number 1 contenders to the Action Unlimited Tag-Team Championship. The winners of this bout, which pits 3 Action Unlimited Tag-Teams against each other until only one remains, will recieve a guaranteed Championship opportunity at the next Action Unlimited Showcase, the date of which will be announced. With all six announced participants being Action Unlimited veterans, this should end up being a very heated contest next Sunday.

Let's take a quick look at the teams.

Gutz N Glory- "The Pride Of The Fighting 109th" have made it very clear that they want an opportunity to be Tag-Team Champions, going so far as to challenge the winners of our last showcase's Tag-Team title match. Boasting an almost unblemished record which includes no losses by pinfall or submission, Bob "Shotgun Blast" Dick and JP "The Howitzer" Karpovich may be regarded as the odds-on favorites in this match. However, they have incredibly talented competetion on Sunday, March 21st...and as we all know, anything can happen in Action Unlimited.

Ray Ray Marz & Little Nicky- These two gentlemen, high in the running for most obnoxious wrestlers of all time, make their Nanticoke, PA wrestling debut in a match that has all the ingredients to shoot the winners straight into stardom. Fresh from abandoning their partner, The Masked Destroyer, at the last showcase, this Triangle Match will be their first meeting with their former partner. And he isn't coming alone....

The Masked Destroyer & Cadillac Stanks- "Big Silky" has stepped up and formed a team with Action Unlimited's most unusual competitor, the massive Masked Destroyer. Stanks, widely recognized as one of Anthracite Wrestling's most popular competitors, has had continuing problems with Ray Ray Marz, who has stepped up to challenge Stanks the last two consecutive showcases. Little Nicky's hands aren't clean, either, as Nicky was just as involved in abandoning Destroyer at Hanover, and the massive masked man hasn't yet forgotten.

All of these factors have this match shaping up to be a must-see, and will definitely have a huge impact on the future title picture here in Action Unlimited. Keep checking back for more info.

Ryan "ACID" Zero released from hospital; will make appearance at "The Ides Of March"

After what was easily the scariest week most of us here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com have ever experienced, we can finally exhale. We recieved word this morning that Action Unlimited competitor Ryan "Acid" Zero was released from Emmaus Medical Center sometime Tuesday afternoon, one week after being voilently attacked and nearly killed by The Westies following last week's Tag-team Championship match. Zero, who suffered severe neck trauma and a massive concussion on March 2, has been in treatment for the past 7 days, and has been completely incommunicato. This morning, however, Zero finally broke his silence.

"Well, I'm alive. Not really in one piece, but I'm alive." Zero told us this morning via telephone call. "I literally remember walking out through the curtain, and nothing else. I've seen the footage, though, so it's probably a good thing that I don't remember anything. I'd hate to have to carry those images around for the rest of my life."

For those not in attendance, Zero was injured following the Westies/Collis & Zero Tag-Team Championship match this past march 2nd as part of Action Unlimited III: Indestructible. With his partner handcuffed to the ropes, and with no recourse since the bout had already concluded, Zero took a hellacious 2-on-1 beating at the hands of the victorious Westies. Seething with anger, Head The Ice Crusher and "Banger" Ritch Howe erected an announce table at ringside, with the obvious goal of throwing Zero through it.

The execution of the throw, however, had Zero miss the table...from a 15 foot fall, mind you...with everything but his EXO (it's the bump on the back of your head), which crashed violently into, but not through, the lip of the table. Zero crashed into a plie, folded at the waist, taking 99% of the force directly on his head and neck. He was knocked unconsious upon impact, and did not regain consiousness for several minutes. Expert work by Action Unlimited Team Doctor Patrick "Skip" Krenwinkle helped Zero narrowly avert tragedy, and Zero was transferred to a medical facility not long afterwards. Zero was finally relesed Tuesday morning.

"I can't turn my head barely at all, and I'm still getting massive headaches several times a day." Zero tells us. "I guess I'm lucky when you think about it. I saw the same fall as you guys saw, but I can't explain how I survived. A fall like that could kill somebody, it should kill somebody. How or why I survived is still a mystery, but like I said, I definitely feel lucky."

While Zero declined to discuss the specifics of his injuries, "Acid" did make it clear that he will be in attendance on March 21st at the Nanticoke Armory as part of Action Unlimited IV: The Ides Of March, though not in a competitive role. He has promised, however, that he will definitely be addressing the crowd and letting us know where his future lies.

Whatever his decision, we are happy to have Ryan "Acid" zero on the way to recovery, and look forward to seeing him March 21st. More information as we get it.

Evers Shines At "Indestructible"; Khufu And Bruno Prepare For War.

With all of the variables presented to him, very little could be said with certainty about the first Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship defense of young A.J. Evers. HIs opponent enjoyed many advantages. Outside of the former Champion, A.J. had never been tested in-ring by an accomplished veteran. Moreover, A.J. would be facing more than one opponent, as the challenger had definite backup in the form of a former multiple-time Champion.

At the conclusion of Action Unlimited 3, however, one thing was very, very clear: A.J. Evers is, indeed, Indestructible.

The challenger, "The War Machine" Bruno DeMaio came well prepared. Bruno had fellow Diamond City Kings member "The Technical Nightmare" Matt Turner in his corner. DeMaio's strategy, to avoid chasing the faster champion and patiently wait for a mistake, was working very well for the first minutes of the match. Bruno was himself the heavy favorite in the match, and at several points within seemed poised to finish the young Champion and begin his own reign. Somewhere along the line, however, something went very wrong for the massive challenger.

DeMaio's woes had actually started earlier in the night, when he and Turner had arrived in the ring to sign DeMaio's Main Event contract for his match with Evers. Within a few moments, The Great Khufu and his manager/translator Doshu Sappo had arrived on the scene. (If you recall, "The War Machine" and "The Butcher Of Giza" have a long standing rivalry that came to the surface this past January.) Doshu directly challenged Bruno to face Khufu one-on-one in a No Holds Barred match at the soonest possible date. Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin, himself on the scene to witness the contract signing, seemed moved by Sappo's request, and promised to make that very match at the soonest available time.

As things in the Main Event seemed to be going directly in Bruno's direction, and as A.J. Evers seemed completely finished, a chain reaction of events began that would lead to Bruno's defeat and Evers' victory. First Vin Gerard, Turner's opponent earlier in the evening, arrived on the scene and completely neutralized "The Technical Nightmare". Then, as Bruno prepared to put the finishing touches on the young Champion, The Great Khufu and Doshu Sappo arrive on the scene. Sappo, long retired and out of action for nearly 8 years before this past January, executed his vaunted "Rising Sun" Top Rope Neckbreaker on the massive challenger and quickly exited the ring without being detected. It was all the opportunity Evers needed to trigger his Flying Elbowdrop and score a pinfall victory over "The War Machine".

The victorious champion could not hide his happiness in a post match interview.

"I KNEW it! He was big, he was bad, but he wasn't Indestructible. I came in here the Champion, I'm STILL the Champion, and I'm GOING to be Champion FOREVERS!" A.J. shouted to the reporters and cameras nearby in the locker room area. We hope to have a one-on-one interview with the reigning Champion sometime this week.

Bruno, as can be expected, was furious.

"WHERE was Ted Garvin, Mike DiMuzio, or ANYBODY to keep this CRAP from happening?" screamed an irate DeMaio in his post match comments. "Nobody makes a fool of me like this...you understand me? I've broken this (*expletive deleted*)'s back before. If (Khufu) wants another go-round, then I'm his boy, you understand? He wants a broken neck? He'll get one. We're done."

Bruno has not returned phone calls as of Thursday, March 3rd. We hope to get additional comments soon.

A.J. Evers, for his part, has little time to celebrate; by virtue of his victory in the Tag-Team Championship match, "Banger" Ritch Howe has been named No.1 Contender to Evers' Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship. While nothing has been announced, it may be just a matter of days until that match is a reality for March 21st.

DeMaio heads in a more personal direction, having apparently accepted "The Butcher Of Giza's" challenge for a rematch 10 years in the making. As was the case earlier, no official announcement has been made, but the moment anything is announced, we will share it here that very second.

Ryan "Acid" Zero Severely Injured; In Serious Condition As Of Midnight 3/3

Over the last few weeks, the management have admittedly applied immense pressure in efforts to sign Tuesday's tag-team title match. The current and reigning champions, The Westies, were very hesitant to sign the match. Management, specifically Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin, were dead-set on providing the grounds for "Cannon" Mike Collis and Ryan "Acid" Zero to extract revenge against the reviled champions. Garvin's only intention seemed to be presenting a match that was entertaining for the fans.

Now, Garvin wishes the match never happened.

"I wouldn't wish something like this on my worst enemy." Garvin commented this morning during a telephone call. "It was never my intention for Ryan to get hurt at all...let alone this severely and brutally. If I had known something like this would go down, that match never would have happened. In my mind right now, it shouldn't have happened."

After successfully defending their championship, both Westies continued to attack Ryan Zero while Collis found himself handcuffed to the ropes. Not long after, Head The Ice Crusher lifted Zero over his shoulders. While "Banger" Howe glared at Collis and screamed for him to "Watch what (he) did. Watch what (he) caused. This is YOUR fault!"

Seconds later, Ice Crusher brutally launched Zero over the top rope and directly to the arena floor...completely missing the erected ringside table with every part of his body.. save for the back of his head, which crashed violently onto the lip of the table. The rest of Zero landed in a bloody, convulsing heap at ringside, the sight and atmosphere of which none present will soon forget. The locker room quickly emptied and rushed to Zero's aid, but not before both Westies made their escape.

Zero was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility and apparantly airlifted to another location. He was listed as being in Serious Condition at an undisclosed hospital as of midnight Tuesday evening.

Most everyone on the roster has an opinon as it relates to this heinous situation.

"I was right there in the ring when it happened. When Zero's head hit that table, fear shot right through me." said Action Unlimited senoir official Michael DiMuzio. "I looked into his eyes..they were open the whole time..and he was just gone. No one home. I don't want to sound like a ghoul, but I have to be honest: I thought he was dead."

"What The Westies pulled tonight just isn't right." commented Action Unlimited newcomer Gene Snitsky. "You win your match, you cash your check, no problem. You don't make it personal, believe me when I say that. These two I dealt with earlier in the show. I had no idea they'd stoop so low."

As you may have already heard, Gene Snitsky has challenged either member of The Westies to a singles match on March 21st @ The Nanticoke Armory.

Mike Vaughn & Gutz N Glory defeated Ray Ray Marz, Little Nicky, and The Masked Destroyer when Karpovich pinned The Masked Destroyer. After Little Nicky and Ray Ray Marz abandoned Destroyer, GNG/Vaughn shared their post-match celebration with him.

"Mr. Saturday Night" Roy Propes defeated Jak Mollson.

Ray Ray Marz and Little Nicky returned to ringside and made an open challenge. Cadillac Stanks accepted, and defeated Ray Ray Marz in an impromptu singles match.

Vin Gerard defeated "The Technical Nightmare" Matt Turner by pinfall with an inside cradle.

The Great Khufu (w/ Doshu Sappo) defeated Darius Carter by pinfall.

Action Unlimited Tag-Team Champions The Westies ("Banger" Ritch Howe & Head The Ice Crusher) defeated "Cannon" Mike Collis and Ryan "Acid" Zero by pinfall. After the match, The Westies powerbombed Zero off of the ring apron directly to the floor, severely injuring him.

Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion "Indestructible" AJ Evers defeated "War Machine" Bruno DeMaio by pinfall after a Flying Elbow. The Great Khufu and Doshu Sappo both interjected themselves into the match, as did Matt Turner and Vin Gerard.

Gene Snitsky, who had earlier assisted Ryan "Acid" Zero after his horiffic fall, dropped a challenge to whichever Westie would accept on March 21st.

Westies vs Collis/Zero WILL happen.

At the 23rd hour on Saturday 2/20, the appropriate phonecalls made and the appropriate paperwork tended to, we can finally announce with 100% certainty that the Action Unlimited No-DQ Tag Team Championship match between The Westies ("Banger" Ritch Howe and Head The Ice Crusher) and the team of "Cannon" Mike Collis and Ryan "Acid" Zero. While the match will be presented with it's original stipulations, a number of minor changes have been announced to satisfy the champions, who as most by now are aware have been very hesitant to accept the championship match.

The key stipulations are as follows;

1) The Westies manager, Ms. Rachel Townsend, will be banned from the building on 2/25 to ensure that she does not in any way physically involve herself in the matchup. (*It is our understanding at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com that The Westies may be represented by members of the Zapata Law firm at this event, but that's purely speculation at this point*)
2) All competitors must respect the "Tag Rule" and may not execute a fall unless they are the legal contestant. The referee will not disqualify a contestant for entering the ring. However, the referee has the right to clear the ring of illegal competitors before executing a fall.
3) "Cannon" Mike Collis is recognized as the No.1 contender to the Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship. Should Collis or Zero be defeated in any way during this match, Collis will forefeit his Championship opportunity to whichever member of the opposing team executes the successful fall.
4) Should Collis and Zero be successful in capturing the Action Unlimited Tag-Team Championship, they will not be required to grant The Westies a rematch at any time.

Breaking News: The Great Khufu vs Dariu$ Carter Announced For "Indestructible"

Action Unlimited Officials have announced today that controversial newcomer The Great Khufu will make his official Action Unlimited in-ring debut on February 25th as part of "Action Unlimited III: Indestructible". It may be a long night for "The Butcher Of Giza", however, as he takes on the brash, arrogant, and supremely talented "Young Money" Dariu$ Carter.

Carter makes his return to Action Unlimkited after a very disappointing outing against Anthracite Wrestling's resident artful dodger, Leroy "Cadillac" Stanks.

Infuriated over what he percieved as "lax officiating", Carter demanded that the matchmakers associated with Anthracite Wrestling match him with an opponent of great skill and stature. His mission, no doubt, to prove to the Action Unlimited crowd that "The Debonaire Millionaire" is the very best athlete that Anthracite Wrestling has to offer.

In the understatement of the year, Action Unlimited has granted his request. Dariu$ now has a confirmed matchup against the most animalistic and mysterious Action Unlimited superstar of them all....the bloodthirsty and savage "Butcher Of Giza" The Great Khufu.

Westies Issue Ultimatum; Change Stip Or Cancel Match.

Early this morning, we here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com recieved an email from Rachel Townsend, manager of Action Unlimited Tag team Champions The Westies ("Banger" Ritch Howe and Head The Ice Crusher). In recent weeks, Townsend has been highly vocal in her displeasure with the handeling of the Westies February 25 Tag team Title defense, which happens as part of "Action Unlimited III:Indestructible" live from Hanover Area High School. In standard fashion, Ms. Townsend failed to mince words.

Basically, Ms. Townsend's (and by default, The Westies) issue stems fromAction Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin naming Ryan "Acid" Zero and "Cannon" Mike Collis challengers on 2/25 despite the fact that Zero and Collis have never teamed together, and by that tone are incapable of being ranked the number one challengers to the titles. In Townsends view, the champions are only obligated to defend their titles against the number one challengers, and as Collis and Zero are not recognized as such, The Westies are under no obligation to defend their titles 2/25. Townsend's refusal to sign off on this No-Disqualification match (a match, incidentally, which has already been advertised) has caused Ted Garvin a great deal of grief and aggrivation, as he does everything in his power to ensure a title defense as part of "Action Unlimited III: Indestructible"on 2/25.

"We aren't asking for anything but fair treatment." Townsend wrote in the early lines of today's email. "I have warned Ted Garvin repeatedly about the way he deals with us. We are his champions, his commodity....and we won't be abused. We will have out due, or we will sit at home until we do."

In the opening lines of her email, Ms. Townsend made it clear that The Westies have sought outside professional legal help in the form of the Scranton-based Zapata Law Firm. After meeting with Zapata attorneys last week, Ms. Townsend has apparantly intensified her resolve in the 2/25 title defense matter.

" There is a clear precedent set here; the champions defend against only the top rated team. We will not have our title reign disgraced by fighting these tomato cans Ted Garvin digs up. The people at the Zapata law Firm have been very, very helpful in drafting the new contracts and adding what needed to be added. It ensures our fair treatment, and makes this match worth competing in. We are very happy to be represented by Zapata, and would encourage other talent to do the same."

Sometime this week, Ms. Townsend promised us, Ted Garvin will recieve a new contract for the 2/25 event hat includes some significant changes to the original document. Unhappy with the seemingly "no win" position The Westies find themselves in, Ms. Townsend and Zapata law have added a special stipulation to the standing rules that has the potential to change the course of Action Unlimited for quite some time.

The major stipulation change is simple: To compete in this match, Mike Collis must put his guaranteed Anthracite Title Match on the line. Should Collis and Zero lose this match, Collis would lose his title opportunity to which ever of The Westies is victorious.

The point is made that one of the challengers, "Cannon" Mike Collis , is the recongnized Number one contender to whomever should win the "Bruno-Evers" title match on 2/25. We here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com have covered that subject to some extent in the past weeks. As we understand it, Townsend has demanded that should "The Westies" be successful in their title defense, "Cannon" Mike Collis would forfeit his guaranteed Anthracite Title Match to the victorious member of The Westies, granting one of them the title opportunity Collis is due. Should Collis and Zero be successful, however, they would become the new Action Unlimited Tag Team Champions.

Compounding the already difficult situation, Townsend ended the email making it clear that, should these terms not be met by 2/20, no further negotiation would take place. Should The Westies fail to defend their titles by 2/25, Action Unlimited officials will be within their authority to strip The Westies of the championship.

- Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion "Indestructible" AJ Evers is training diligently at all hours of the day and night in preparation for his Championship bout against Number 1 contender "The War Machine" Bruno DeMaio. Sources close to the young champion have told us that AJ's strategy will center around extending the 350+lb challenger into the later minutes of the match, as a longer bout will favor the lighter, faster champion. As a result, Ever's woorkouts have centered around cardio development, which means he may enter 2/25's championship match even lighter than usual....widening the nearly 200lb weight advantage DeMaio already enjoys.

- Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin and Westies manager Rachel Townsend did, in fact, speak earlier today, though it doesn't seem we're any closer to having the Tag Team Championship match official just yet. Basically, it seems that Townsend simply isn't satisfied with the no-win position The Westies find themselves in, and unless Garvin can come up with some sort of incentive, a continued stalemate seems likely. Incidentally, if The Westies do not defend their Tag Team Championships by 2/25, they risk being stripped of the titles for failure to defend.

- With the acquisition of Pro Wrestling Superstar Gene Snitsky, "Action Unlimited III: Indestructible" is shaping up to be our largest and most attended event yet. Don't forget that Snitsky will be available 30 minutes before belltime (6:30PM) and during intermission for a Meet-And-Greet. We here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com hope to have an exclusive interview with Snitsky as soon as possible.

- Today was an interesting day for Leroy "Cadillac" Stanks. Late last evening, upon hearing that Gene Snitsky did not have an announced opponent, Stanks posted a status update on his Facebook account that read...

"I hereby challenge Snitsky to come taste my rainbow on Febawerry(sic) 25."

...later in the day, someone on Stanks' friends list posted a photo of Snitsky on his Facebook. A mere 7 minutes later, the original status message had been deleted, and the following message ran in it's place:

"I hereby withdraw my challenge for Snitsky to taste my rainbow. He can feel free to taste someone elses."

It seems not even Cadillac Stanks himself is immune to the hilarity of social networking.

Vin Gerard vs Matt Turner: One Anticipated Contest

One of the announced matches featured on 2/25's "Action Unlimited III: Indestructible" showcase has all the potential to steal the show. Rightfully so, as this particular contest features two Action Unlimited newcomers...both young veterans in the business...who possess a vast array of knowledge and a mastery of their craft so advanced that a meeting between the two has been anticipated for years. And while both men reside in the same community less than 10 miles apart, they have never met one on one.

This changes on 2/25, when for the first time anywhere, DCK member "The Technical Nightmare" Matt Turner faces the enigmatic and volatle Vin Gerard in their first singles encounter ever. This match, 5 years in the making, is shaping up to be a career milestone for both men, who have long awaited the day they would finally be given the chance to prove their superiority over the other.

In looking closely at the competitors involved, one sees many similarities. Both began their careers in the violent and bloody Pennsylvania Underground. Both attended the most elite of training academies. Both possess vast technical knowledge and are among the best conditioned competitors in Action Unlimited. And with both being new arrivals, both are anxious to make their mark. They each understand the importance of a victory.

"This little snot has been running from me for YEARS." Turner remarked through his characteristic grin. "I don't know how well you guys know Vin, but let me tell you this: he's weird. I mean VEEERY weird. "Heavy breathing on the telephone" weird. But that doesn't make him dangerous to a guy like me. I know what I'm doing."

In speaking with us, the extremely unpopular Mr Turner didn't seem to take Vin Gerard very seriously, even with all the anticipation surrounding the bout.

"To me, this little punk is just a geek, a nerd, and a pest. I'll take him down, show him what true wrestling is all about, and move on to bigger and better things. I figure that by beating a guy like Vin...a guy who everyone thinks is soooo tough...people will get who I am. This is OUR show now, don't forget. DCK runs things around here now, and we say little Vin isn't welcome. These people have been begging for this match? Fine, I'll slap him around At the end, it'll be time to pack up your mascara and take the d-train home, jerky!"

We here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com have not had an opportunity to speak to Vin Gerard as of yet. We did, however, take some time to research some of the claims that DCK's Bruno Demaio had made earlier this week in our telephone interview with him. What we found was that, while DeMaio has an obvious bias towards him, much of what "The War Machine" told us about Gerard's past was true.

Vin Gerard did, in fact, train at a highly accredited training academy in Philadelphia. Sometime around 2005, Gerard began to compete as a Luchadore, though he had not yet completed Luchadore training. He competed in various colorful masked costumes throughout the next two years, finally losing his mask in a humiliating defeat to a former trainer. Competing without a mask from that point on, Gerard has met a very cold reception in most of the promotions he has performed for along the East Coast. Suprisingly, Action Unlimited fans responded positively to him in his brief debut, and fans regularly email us here at Anthracite Wrestling Blogspot requesting any information we may have on the enigmatic competitor.

While both competitors possess a vast degree of skill, there are several variables that could become huge factors in the outcome of this contest. Matt Turner debuted last month in a wild brawl with "The Butcher Of Giza" Khufu and his mentor, Doshu Sappo. Will Turner's violent clash with these men factor in any way into this contest? Vin Gerard has been busy as well; in January, Gerard rushed the ring and assaulted "Banger" Ritch Howe following The Westies' first round tag team contest. Rachel Townsend, manager of The Westies, has a romantic history with Greard, and it is speculated that her absence at the last event was a direct effect of Gerard's presence. Will The Westies look to finish what Gerard started in January?

Even in the face of all of these querstions, we can decisively state that, in one way or another, Vin Gerard vs Matt Turner has the potential to drastically change the landscape of Anthracite Wrestling. We await this match as much as you.

"I Will Leave Hanover High School NEW Anthracite Champion!"- DeMaio Is Set For "Indestructible" on 2/25

Over the weekend, we here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com were contacted by the Number One Contender for the Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship; “The War Machine” Bruno DeMaio. DeMaio was furious after reading last week’s piece on new Anthracite Champion “Indestructible” AJ Evers, and was anxious to do a sit-down interview with our staff. Arrangements were made to conduct the interview Monday evening, and as of Tuesday morning, we had quite a story.

Bruno has been keeping time of late with NEPA pro wrestling veteran Matt Turner. The duo has teamed frequently on the independent pro wrestling scene, and has taken on the moniker “Diamond City Kings” or “DCK” for short…a reference to their days as Underground competitors in the Wilkes-Barre area. Coincidentally, Matt Turner is scheduled to face newcomer Vin Gerard in a much-hyped first meeting between the two. We will have more on that matchup later today.

For his part, DeMaio seems confident, if highly agitated. He made it clear…and you will read his own words in the following interview…that he will become the next Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion in his first opportunity.

What follows are the actual words of “The War Machine” Bruno DeMaio.

AU- On February 25th, you will receive your long awaited Anthracite Championship opportunity against the new Anthracite Champion, AJ Evers. How do you view the circumstances of this match?

Bruno- February 25th will go down in history as the day Action Unlimited started its reign of the Independent wrestling scene. , I have seen ZERO hype for the main event that night…. A main event that pits AJ Evers vs. ME… Bruno DeMaio for the Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship. I read the blurb about your doomed champion...but the challenger? Not one word. Not one spotlight, no tale of the tape, no HYPE what-so-ever! The real question I have to ask is why? Is this Ted Garvin clown afraid I‘m going to destroy his little “Indestructible” champion? Concerned that maybe I'll smear his rookie face all over Hanover Area High School? C’mon now, those aren’t even legit questions. They're more like guarantees.

AU- Your demeanor seems fairly frustrated, and we think it’s safe to say that it’s because of these circumstances. Do you feel you're taking the situation too personally?

Bruno- For the past two shows I have been jerked around by Action Unlimited officials, starting back in Nov ‘09 when that inept referee got into my way and I severely sprained my left knee. Then, in Jan ’10, the Action Unlimited doctor (Dr. Patrick Krenwinkel) couldn’t see me in time and I missed out on my title rematch against Mike Collis. THEN Action Unlimited brings in that psychopath Khufu, and I get the threat of a fine for almost putting him through a table! Now, at “Indestructible” on Feb. 25, Action Unlimited has nowhere to run, no loop holes to hide behind. I am the #1 contender for the Action Unlimited Anthracite Wrestling Heavyweight Championship and I intended to leave Hanover PA on the 25th of February the NEW ACTION UNLIMITED ANTHRACITE CHAMPION.

AU- Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion AJ Evers recently communicated to us in an interview that you don't intimidate him, and that he isn't afraid of you. How do you respond to that statement?

Bruno- AJ Evers, I have some advice for you, son; cherish the time you have left being a champion. I know it must be a real thrill for you… this young in your career to be a champion. But, I’m telling you from experience, son, DON’T LOOK PAST ME! Don’t worry about any other match BUT this match. You have never faced anyone like me before AJ, no one with my drive, my ruthlessness, my inability to feel remorse for EVERY move I lay into you. So, you need to find a quiet place, AJ, sit there and meditate. Think about what I am going to do to you on the 25th. Three shows of pent up aggression, frustration, hatred, anger, malice…no one has faced me when I am this focused and riled up. Everyday I wake up, I KNOW that come Feb 26th I’ll have the Anthracite Championship…can YOU do the same thing? S#!&, you better hope you can get out of bed on Feb 26th, or that your friends and family even recognize who you are after you face me.

AU- Is there anything else the young Champion should know going into your match on 2/25?

Bruno- I have only one last thing to say to you , AJ; I’m in your head….even before this match. I know you’ve seen what I can do, the damage I can inflict…most of all, I know you’re a mark for me. I’m not going to get into details here on this blog, I’ll let you sweat this one out. Think back, AJ, to that show in Plymouth where Turner and I first saw you work, the convo you had with us that night. The gears you wanted to put into effect that night…it’s because of that. I know the DCK are deep rooted in your brain. February 25th, it’s going to be like taking a big piece of gold candy away from a little green baby.

AU- We saw NEPA Wrestling veteran Matt Turner debut at "Winter Showcase" in January. Newcomer Vin Gerard also debuted the same night. Will Turner be in your corner as you challenge for the championship, and what are your feelings on Turner's announced match with Vin Gerard?

Bruno- Matt Turner will definitely be there, and he definitely will be in my corner in the main event. And since you mentioned it…where the hell is the hype for Turner vs. Gerard? Honestly, is there some kind of discrimination going on here? No hype for the title match, and no hype for 2 of the best workers the North East US has seen in the past 5-10 years? Ok.. The DCK will hype that match… Matt Turner is a 8+ yr vet, trained locally by a 25+ year veteran, a survivor of the Valley Underground…one of it’s most memorable and successful competitors. When he realized it was time to take his career to the next level, he went to the Ring of Honor Pro Wrestling Academy in Philadelphia to train under “Straight-Edge Messiah” WWE’s CM Punk. Yes, THAT CM Punk.. 3 time World Heavyweight Champion, former tag team champion, former IC Champion, Back-2-Back Money in the Bank winner. Heard of him?

Vin Gerard is a student of the Valley Underground, tried his hand at the Lucha Libre before being booted by his trainer, and faked being an authentic Luchadore to wrestle for a prominent Lucha promotion, deceiving everyone along the way. Gerard was unmasked by his trainer, and has since found solace in his new persona. I’m assuming he also has some issues with Ritch and his baby sister Rachael. Type his name into Google if you want to know more…I don’t care that much. I can pretty much guarantee a Turner victory, but other than that….the kid is a punk. I have bigger fish to fry.

AU_ We don't know how we've gone this long without asking, but we'd be quite regretful if we forgot. Are you able to shed some light on your situation with "The Butcher Of Giza" Khufu? He and his manager, Doshu Sappo, seem very intent on you and Turner.

Bruno- I come onto the BlogSpot to see a full write up about Khufu…that Ted Garvin has unearthed tapes of Khufu and I from March of 2000, and wondering who this new Khufu is. I KNOW who it is, I KNOW what is going on. No one has asked me, no one has BOTHERED to hunt down Adam Morris so HE can explain what is going on with this “new” Khufu. You need phone numbers for Morris? I have ‘em. You want earlier VCW footage of Khufu? All I have to do is place one phone call to Frankie Angelini and you guys will have it. You want answers? I HAVE THEM, but Teddy and his crew WON’T call me to ask. You want to play Sherlock Holmes with this mystery? Fine, go ahead. You’re making it out to be way more complicated than it really is. Quick hint, Indiana Jones: have you tried pressing Doshu Sappo for answers? Because, buddy, he is holding a lot back.

Who Is Khufu?

In the past few weeks following "Action Unlimited 2: Winter Showcase", we here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com have recieved literally dozens of e-mails filled with questions concerning one of Action Unlimited's newest roster additions, "The Butcher Of Giza" Khufu.

"Where did this person come from, and how did he find himself in Action Unlimited?"

"What is his issue with Bruno DeMaio?"

"Wasn't there a different Khufu several years ago?"

"How does Doshu Sappo factor in to this situation?"

We definitely want to stress that we will do everything in our power to answer every email we recieve in a timely and helpful fashion. In this set of circumstances, however, we want to make it clear that we're not dodging any questions. To be perfectly frank, we don't have many answers to share. The answers we do have only came very recently, and after hours and hours of research mixed with endless phonecalls and tape reviews.
We do have some basic information to share with our fans today, and we hope more is forthcoming.

At the very basic level, "Khufu" is the name of an ancient Egyptian Pharoah who was responsible for the construction of the Tomb of Giza (aka The Great Pyramid) at or around 2600 B.C. His reign as Pharoah lasted several decades, and is remembered in folklore for being extremely cruel and ruthless as the ruler of the known world. Strangely, almost no known artifacts exist depicting a likeness of Khufu, unusual due to the sheer number of likenesses and artifacts attributed to other Pharoahs of the era.

The circumstances of his death are also largely unusual. When The Great Pyramid was excavated in the 1950's, Khufu's sarcophagus was discovered in a deep cacacomb....completely empty. Further searches of the area have never unearthed the mummified remains of "The Butcher Of Giza". Owing that Khufu was such an important figure at the time, it is almost unthinkable that he would not have been preserved for the ages. To date, however, no evidence has ever come to light that would suggest that the man known as Khufu ever passed away.

Flash forward nearly 4 THOUSAND years to Summertime of 2000. Among the various local Pro Wrestling promotions that existed in NEPA at the time, many hosted a competitor who shared his name with the great pharoah. Referring to himself as "King Khufu", this masked competitor went on to capture championships in several promotions and was revered as one of the founding personalities in NEPA Pro Wrestling.
On March 17th of 2000, the competitor known as King Khufu defended one such championship against a man Action Unlimited fans know very well: the 350+lb "War Machine" Bruno DeMaio.

In this brutal and bloody match, which is still passed among tape traders to this day, DeMaio (in his rookie year at the time) chokeslammed "King Khufu" from a ring apron and through a ringside table....covered completely in shredded glass. "Khufu" was removed from the scene and recieved medical attention. NEPA Wrestling fan Bill Slova remembers the scene vividly:

"Khufu was the champion at the time. He was this rare mix of daredevil and technician that really took off. His success was incredible.....insanely popular with the fans, just super loved. Bruno was a rookie who was hurting a lot of people. He had worked his way up to Khufu and was starting to build that dominant streak that people still talk about. Easily the most violent match I have EVER seen in my life, both guys cut to ribbons and bleeding heavily. Most of us believed that, through all of this, Khufu would pull through; it's just what he did. But when Bruno spiked him through that glass-covered table, we all gasped. Every sigle one of us in that building...we knew that Khufu was done. Every one of us"

"Khufu" was, at the time, the recognized champion of the promotion that presented this match with Bruno DeMaio. While Bruno didn't win the title by pinfall, he did take possession of the champion's title belt. And though DeMaio spent many months taunting "Khufu", the former champion never returned to claim his belt. That particular title, we understand, was quietly vacated a short time later. The competitor did return to action some years later, but his appearances became less and less frequent.

AnthraciteWrestling.blogspot.com has positively identified this competitor as a gentleman named Adam Morris. While we were unable to reach or speak with Mr. Morris, we have been able to verify through photos that Adam Morris 100% IS NOT the Khufu that appeared at Action Unlimited's "Winter Showcase" event in January. The original Khufu, Adam Morris, while a fantastic competitor in his own right, is noticeably shorter and more slender than his taller, heavier counterpart. We will continue our attempts to reach Mr. Morris and report on any information we may recieve.

Yet another unusual aspect of this situation is Doshu Sappo, the language interpretor for "The Butcher Of Giza", and himself a victim of a career-ending assault by "The War Machine". Literally every aspect of Khufu's existence in Action Unlimited has been negotiated and executed by Sappo, and it is our understanding that Sappo himself negotiated with Ted garvin on Khufu's behalf. Whats more, Sappo seems to be the only living person Khufu communicates with, as even his allies (Guts & Glory, Mike Vaughn) were met with hostility and agression by the animalistic pharoah.

So at the present, and after all of that text, we find ourselves not far from where we started on the subject. One thing is definitely not arguable: Khufu has come to Action Unlimited, and he has come for Bruno DeMaio. Where we go from here is a question we all await an answer to.

Action Unlimited Anthracite Wrestling has arraigned a Meet & Greet with our newest addition to the roster: Pro Wrestling Superstar And NEPA native Gene Snitsky for our fans at our next showcase event "Action Unlimited 3: Indestructible" LIVE from Hanover Area High School on Thursday night, February 25th. Action Unlimited fans will have an opportunity to meet with and talk to Gene, as well as pick up an autograph or personalized photo.

"February 25th can't get here fast enough" remarked Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin. "I never get enough opportunities to say this, but Action Unlimited fans are what make this company number 1 in Northeast Pennsylvania. As such, my staff and I are always looking for ways to enhance the experience for our fans and for ways to show our gratitude. I hope every one of our fans, and hopefully a few new ones, will come out and see our newest Superstar, have a great night, and help out the world's most worthy relief effort all in one night."

Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Hanover Area Student Council in their continued efforts with the Haiti Relief Fund. To date, Action Unlimited has raised thousands of dollars for charitable organizations since November of 2009, and are 100% thrilled to be part of local relief efforts for this World-affecting disaster.

"On The Get-Back": Our Quid Pro Quo Interview With Leroy "Cadillac" Stanks

It is with no small amount of shame that we, the staff of AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com, make this confession: this past weekend, after hearing events on our local police scanner that would set a nights worth of activity in motion, we the staff took a monetary pool and posted bail for Action Unlimited roster member Leroy "Cadillac" Stanks.

Under threat of libel, we can't mention the law enforcement agencies involved or the ames of the arresting officers. What we can tell you is that is was an almost obscenely ridiculous charge. Apparantly Leroy had crossed on a red directly in the view of a parked patrol cruiser. When Stank's made eye contact with the officer, "Cadillac" made an obscene gesture that will not be described on this website in any greater detail. When the officer, obviously provoked, instructed Stanks to lay on the ground, Leroy reached into his pockets and threw a wad of one dollar bills...$12 American to be exact...into the face of the officer. Naturally, mace and batons were used, and an hour later, a very bruised and very thankful "Big Silky" emerged from our "local" lockup.

Though he promised reimbursement to the entire staff, we here at AnthraciteWrestling.blogspot.com harbor no dillusions. As such, we asked that in repayment, "Cadillac" simply take a few minutes and take part in an interview for our beloved website. What you are about to read has been transcribed to the best of our ability, and we apologize in advance for any difficulty in reading or following this interview.

AW- Leroy, thanks for taking the time to talk to us today.

CS- Well...thank you for having me. Thank you for bailing me out of JAIL. Thank you for the dozen doughnuts you have on that table over there. They are very delicious.

AW- You can have as many as you like, Leroy.

CS- Can I take some with me when I leave.

AW- Not a problem. We can always get more donuts later.

CS- (Holds up hands in a long dramatic pause) Continue.

AW- As we get started, I want to ask you about the events of tonight which had you, again, in the back of a police cruiser in handcuffs, arrested. The situation as it was described to us by the officer was completely avoidable. How do you continue to find yourself in these situations?

CS- Well, first of all, man...can I call you man?

AW- Man is fine.

CS- OK, man, now..see...it goes down like this: Cops, you see, they got a job like everybody, right? They have to make their money busting criminals and whatever. Busting heads...being cops. They need that money to buy gas and pay their cable bills or whatever, you dig?

AW- We dig.

CS- So if everybody just stopped breaking the law, right, those cops would be out of a job. In this economy, we shouldn't let anybody lose their job. I don't want these cops kid's to starve to death, so I do what I have to do to keep food on their tables. That whole law enforcement community NEEDS my ass. I'm insurance on their financial futures, if you know what I'm saying, man.

AW- So, in essence, you commit these crimes in the interest of furthering the police officer's employment?

CS- Yeah, see? I take care of everybody.

AW- Um...ok. Speaking of people you take care of, so far we've seen four of your lovely "Cadillac Dolls". How many "Dolls" are there in total?

CS- They're all up at the crib right now. We can go count them if you want. I think there's like either 14 or 20...maybe 19. They made pizza tonight of you guys are hungry.

AW- We already ate, but thanks.

CS- It's not even a problem. If I can borrow somebody's cell, I can call ahead and make sure we get a table cloth.

AW- It does sound lovely, but work comes first. Now back to your legal woes, do you have any plans for slowing down as you hit your future?

CS- As long as those boys in blue are depending on me, I'll be out doing stuff...like tonight...making sure their bills get paid. For as many times as I've been busted, none of those cops ever end up really hating me. The whole time they're arresting me, I was boogeying, getting down, and doing everything I ever do. Plus they have a cell for me at (name of borough police station deleted) thats at least 50 times nicer than my crib, y'know?

AW- Do you see how this logic is flawed?

CS- Flawed? How is it FLAWED? It's worked for me for twenty something years.

AW- True, but you keep ending up incarcerated.

CS- See, thats my only problem, though!

AW- Now, as far as Action Unlimited's next event "Action Unlimited 3: Indestructible" goes, do you have any plans on competetion, and if so, against who?

CS- I don't ever really know much in advance. They don't trust me with too much information, dig?

AW- Dug.

CS- I'm definitely going to be in the house come February 25. Me and my babies are going to roll into that place and own every single seat. They don't call me "Big Silky" for nothing, man.

AW- We definitely believe that. Leroy...Cadillac...it was definitely our pleasure to speak to you today.

CS- Definitely my pleasure to be bailed out the hop by you fine folks. Now, I'm gonna grab them donuts be out. One.

"This Match WON'T Happen!": Townsend Refuses 2/25 Contract; Says Tag-Title Match Is Off.

Following last week's public e-mail from Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin, we were contacted by Rachel Townsend, the enigmatic manager of the new Action Unlimited Tag-Team Champions The Westies ("Banger" Ritch Howe and Head The Ice Crusher). WE had contacted Rachel earlier that same day, and she had promised to contact us at a later time to officially comment on the situation. Ms. Townsend definitely kept her promise, and her return call was venomous to say the least.

For those who haven't kept up, Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin announced last week that The Westies would defend their Action Unlimited Tag-Team Championship againts former Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion Mike "Cannon" Collis and his partner Ryan "Acid" Zero. Ms. Townsend, sibling of Westie "Banger" Ritch Howe and rarely seen manager of "The Westies" was not happy with this announcement, and made it a point to let us know.

"I don't know who the hell Ted Garvin thinks he is. First of all, The Westies are the champions. THEY decide who the challengers are, and judging by the landscape here, there just aren't many serious threats. So Garvin takes it upon himself to throw a team together simply to appease the fans and make some of his roster happy. Well, I hate to burst his obnoxious little bubble, but thats definitely not happen."

"Second.." she continued with out giving us a chance to breathe, let alone speak. "..there is absolutely positively no way that a team that didn't even exist before this match can be rated the number one contenders and instantly recieve a title shot. This type of garbage management is exactly what I was hired to handle. These big tough Action Unlimited officials think that they intimidate us, but they're crazy. I have all the legal right in the world to refuse this contract, and I have. We have nothing to gain from accepting a match...no disqualification at that....against an unranked team. If Garvin wants his match that badly, he'll sweeten the pot and make it worth it for Ritch and Head. If not, he will have a lot of explaining to do come Feb. 25 when his match doesn't go through. The ball is in his court. For now, under these circumstances, this match WON'T happen."

Our very first question for Ms. Townsend was met with the clicking sound of a disconnected phone call. Our later attempts to reach Ms. Townsend went unanswered. Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin, no doubt extremely busy with the Gene Snitsky signing, has yet to comment.

ACTION UNLIMITED SIGNS GENE SNITSKY!

As of today, Tuesday Feb 2., Pro Wrestling Superstar GENE SNITSKY has come to terms on an agreement with Action Unlimited, and is scheduled to officially debut for Anthracite Wrestling on February 25th.

"My staff and I cannot even begin to express how excited we are to have Gene joining the Anthracite Wrestling roster." gushed Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin. "We've been working day and night over the last few days to make the arraingements necessar for Gene and to make sure everything was done by February 25. Now the t's are crossed and the i's dotted. Gene Snitsky is officially a part of Action Unlimited Anthracite Wrestling, and we couldn't be happier."

Gene Snitsky joins Action Unlimited after a 5 and a half year run with World Wrestling Entertainment. He is well remembered for his feud with Lita and Kane, and for his various Pay-Per-View events....not to mention his multiple Wrestlemania appearances. Given his track record, the signing of Gene Snitsky is a major plus.

Perhaps best of all, Gene is a native of northeast Pennsylvania, and has expressed interest in helping Action Unlimited continue their work with various local charities. This is the true spirit of Anthracite Wrestling, and again, the addition of Gene Snitsky helps our mission that much more.

As of this writing, no opponent has been announced, but Gene Snitsky WILL be in action on February 25th at Hanover High School as part of "Action Unlimited 3: Indestructible". Tickets will go on sale very soon, so keep checking back as we will be announcing the various locations you can purchase tickets.

"Feb. 25th Is CLOBBERING TIME!" Collis And Zero Prepare For "Indestructible"

As has been reported in various outlets numerous times, former Anthracite Champion Mike "Cannon" Collis was the victim of a cowardly and vicious attack purpotrated by the current Action Unlimited Tag Team Champions, The Westies, last November during the Anthracite Championship Tournament. The attack was initiated by current Number One Contender Bruno DeMaio, who paid The Westies to injure Collis and eliminate him from the Tournament, ensuring DeMaio's victory in the tournament. Since November, Collis has waited patiently to settle his grudge with The Westies, and on February 25th, his opportunity will finally come.

"Most guys don't know what their career is worth to someone else. I do...$800.00. Thats how much I've heard Bruno paid "Banger" and Head to take me out at the Nanticoke Armory. They came very close. My ribs and kidneys are still killing me. I remember every single second of it, and I intend to inflict every single second of it back on both Westies ass. "

Collis seems very aware that it's not only him, but his partner for the night Ryan "Acid" Zero that has tasted the Westies steel chair in the past.

"I didn't know how it would go at first, asking someone for their title shot and all. I half expected to get blown off. But (Mike) Vaughn saw how bad his partner got hurt last show, and understands his need for revenge. So when I asked if I could take Vaughn's place in January, he knew exactly where I was coming from. When he agreed, and once the arraingements were made, we started working on our game plan. We're taking The Westies out on Feb. 25th, and we don't care if he whole world knows it."

This match on the direct order of Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin, who remarked about the attacks in this past weeks open email.

"The behavior of "The Westies" is getting out of hand. They are extremely talented wrestlers, no doubt about it. But this constant need for attention, this mafia-style "hit for hire" stuff, It won't fly here. And before I start throwing around a rule book or opening myself up to trouble by firing people, I try to teach them a lesson in the ring. And I firmly believe that Collis and Zero are capable of doing just that. It will be an absolute honor to have these two gentlemen as out Champions, and hey have my best wishes in this match."

We briefly spoke to an outraged Rachel Townsend, who did little more than shout incoherantly and promise a statement from The Westies soon. No further ontact has been made with the champions at this time.

Throughout this unusual situation, "The Cannon" remains confident.

"In talking to Ryan, I am CERTAIN that he understands my point and wants retribution as badly as I do. We're ready, we're focused, and we will be the new Action Unlimited tag team Champions. You guys may call this show "Indestructible", but for me, Feb. 25th is CLOBBERIN' TIME!"

This comes directly from an email sent to us by Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful fans who came out and supported a good cause on January 10th. Not only were we able to raise a great deal of money for the Christopher Krout family, but also for the local Cub Scout troop who handled the concessions. Everyone who was involved, most especially the fans, deserve a big thank you.

On February 25th, we return to action right here in the Wyoming Valley with our third showcase: "Action Unlimited III: Indestructible". At this particular showcase, you will see our new Anthracite Champion "Indestructible" A.J. Evers as he defends his title against number one challenger Bruno "War Machine" DeMaio in AJ's first title defense since winning the championship. Action Unlimited does recognize Mike "The Cannon" Collis as the number one challenger to whomever wins in this main event matchup.

On that note, I would like to take this opportunity to announce a few more match-ups we will be presenting on February 25. Action Unlimited does have new Tag-Team Champions, The Westies, "Banger" Ritch Howe and Head The Ice Crusher. Now, regardless of how the actual ending of the match went down, Action Unlimited has no choice but to respect the referee's final decision and recognize The Westies as our Tag-Team Champions. However, I am well aware of the fact that a steel chair was involved. I am also aware of Mike Collis' request that, after the brutal beating he himself took with a steel chair at the hands of the same perpetrators, he be given an opportunity to face The Westies under any conditions.

With these circumstances in mind, I am announcing that on February 25th, The Westies will defend their new Action Unlimited Tag-Team Championship against "The Cannon" Mike Collis and Ryan "Acid" Zero in a No Disqualifications Match. I have spoken with Ryan Zero's tag team partner, Mike Vaughn, about the situation, and he was very happy to give Collis an opportunity to avenge his attack. Mike Vaughn will be in action as well on that night, and we will announce his opponent soon.

We have several new acquisitions to Action Unlimited in the past week, and we will have them in competition on February 25th. Action Unlimited Anthracite Wrestling will strive to bring you fresh faces and new styles in the upcoming year, and the vast array of talents possessed by our new arrivals is second to none. We are in for a very exciting showcase at "Unbreakable" to say the least.

At our last event there apparently was a gentleman whom, to my understanding, purchased a ticket, then ran into the ring and punched "Banger" Ritch Howe squarely in the jaw. Now let me make this crystal clear to everyone reading : Fans rushing the ring will NOT BE TOLERATED in Action Unlimited. This individual is very lucky that he was recognized by several wrestlers at the show, or serious criminal charges would have been filed. I can assure everyone reading that, with God as my witness, if and when such events transpire again...wrestler or not...whomever rushes the ring will spend a night in jail.

As I was leaving the Wright Township Firehall that night, I had an opportunity to speak with this individual. What I learned was that this man was not just a random fan looking to start trouble, but a very accomplished wrestler with a legitimate ax to grind with a member of our talent staff. Good wrestling, in my opinion, is born of situations like this one. I have done a great deal of thinking on the matter, but as of now I am pleased to announce that NEPA Pro Wrestling Standout Vin Gerard will be featured on our upcoming showcase February 25.

With such a wealth of experience and ability, I feel it only right that as Vin Gerard's first match in Action Unlimited, I present a match that many fans have asked for. In his debut Vin Gerard will face Matt Turner One-On-One for the first time anywhere. I am absolutely sure this match will tear the house down, and is yet another reason to get your tickets to "Action Unlimited 3: Unbreakable" as soon as possible.

Doshu Sappo and his protege "The Butcher Of Giza" Khufu have made agreements this week. Rather, Doshu Sappo made agreements for both he and his "client". At no point in our conversations did Khufu speak to anyone other than Doshu, although Khufu was not unruly or threatening at all towards me. He did speak a language that I am not familiar with, but Doshu was able to help us through a few points of interest. They are both exceptionally talented and a huge positive addition to our roster. I have every reason to believe that Khufu's official debut will be on February 25 at "Unbreakable", and as soon as I have that confirmed, I will make sure it is announced.

"I'm Not Afraid Of Bruno DeMaio." Evers Prepares For "Indestructible"

Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion "Unbreakable" AJ Evers is not in an enviable position on the night of February 25th. On that date, Evers puts his newly won Championship on the line against quite possibly the most dangerous competitor in Anthracite Wrestling...the 350+lb Number One ranked challenger "War Machine" Bruno DeMaio. This match, two months in the making for DeMaio and the first title defense by Evers, will headline "Action Unlimited 3:INDESTRUCTIBLE" at Hanover Area Senior High School on 2/25.

"I can't start to tell you what this title reign means to me." AJ told us in a telephone conversation yesterday afternoon. "Having all those people come and congratulate me when I won it was amazing. Now I get a chance to show them that they picked the right guy."

Evers, just 18 years old, is the youngest recognized major champion in the entire state of Pennsylvania. Still, in speaking with AJ, his confidence seemed at an all time high.

"I know what people must think, but let me guarantee you; I'm not scared of Bruno DeMaio. I wasn't scared of Mike Collis, and I'm not scared of being Anthracite Champion. My challengers will find out quick that "Indestructible" isn't just my nickname. I plan on defending this title every chance I get against whoever deserves a shot. I'm not going to duck anybody."

Evers must definitely have the future on his mind, as the former champion "Cannon" Mike Collis lays in waiting for his guaranteed rematch. Collis, who was defeated by Evers on January 10th at Wright Township Firehall, will become No. 1 contender to the championship once the obligation to DeMaio is fulfilled. DeMaio, coincidentally, lost the final match of the Anthracite title tournament in November to "The Cannon".

Anthracite Wrestling newcomer Matt Turner has been heavily rumored to be in Bruno's corner for his upcoming title match. When asked about this, and how it may affect the match outcome, Evers didn't seem concerned.

"I'll be honest. If I had a psychotic being from thousands of years ago chasing after me, I probably wouldn't stand right out in the open. People keep asking me if I have a plan for Turner during the match, but maybe they should be asking if Turner and Bruno have a plan for KHUFU during the match."

DeMaio's problems with Khufu and Doshu Sappo have been well documented here. Both Khufu and Sappo have an agreement with Action Unlimited that began sometime earlier this week. More on that in a later post.

To close out our conversation, AJ looked to the future with optimism. "Right now I'm definitely motivated to be the best champion I can be. I don't ever want to sound arrogant, but it definitely feels like right now is my time. I have the fans support, I have the support of most my fellow wrestlers and my family....I feel like a champion, and I intend to hold this title for a very long time."

BREAKING NEWS: Action Unlimited Opens TRAINING CENTER!

Starting February 1st, Action Unlimited will open the doors of it's brand new Pro Wrestling Institute & Training Center. It is the only full-time training facility in the NEPA region, and will be accessbile for new trainees and veterans alike.

"We're beyond excited to be announcing this." Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin told us Monday morning. "I've marveled in the past at how quickly our fans have taken to our concept. I hear often the appreciation people have for our style of physical wrestling. This training facility gives our performers an opportunity to push themselves into the next level, and for new wrestlers to "get their feet wet" as they say."

"Bringing a training center like this one to the area is one more big step Action Unlimited has taken in the last year." Garvin continued. "Now the opportunity is there for even more performers to get involved, and for us to make our mark in NEPA. Like I've said before, we are the Number.1 Pro Wrestling promotion in all of NEPA thanks to our fans. Now we'll take our shows to the next level and keep the "Unlimited Action" coming."

Assailant Identified: "Banger" Assaulted By VIN GERARD????

Video proof does not lie.

Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin has positively identified the man who accosted Ritch Howe at the finale of the first round match-up in the Mini-tournament pitting The Westies against Guts And Glory.

The man pictured is none other than NEPA Pro Wrestling standout Vin Gerard.

Vin Gerard, as many of our fans know, is an accomplished Pro Wrestler with many top name promotions throughout the US. While no obvious reason for an attack is known, Gerard's past relationship with Howe's younger sister, Rachel Townsend, has been well documented in the past. Eyewitnesses of the attack Sunday have quoted Gerard as screaming "Where is she?" over and over at Howe.

Gerard was chased on foot by Head The Ice Crusher and a host of Action Unlimited security before dashing out the front door of Wright Township Fire. No criminal charges were pursued.

Coincidentally, Ms. Towsend was absent from this past weekends tournament, citing pervious engagements. The Westies employ Ms. Townsend as their business manager, and she was announced as being expected at "Winter Showcase".

Suddenly, her absence takes on a more mysterious tone.

Ted Garvin, once made aware of the situation Sunday, has tried multiple times to contact Gerard. Garvin's feelings on the subject remain mixed.

"I have a lot on my mind regarding this situation..." Garvin told us via telephone Saturday morning. "Obviously we can't have people rushing the ring and doing whatever they want. An employee of mine was assaulted on my watch....and I can't tolerate that. On the other hand, Vin Gerard is a phenomenal talent, and I can relate with anyone who'd want to take a shot at "The Banger". I'm definitely giving this situation a lot of thought."

Garvin has promised a statement soon. The recipient of the attack, one "Banger" Ritch Howe, was less optimistic.

"Ted Garvin walks around like he's Barak Obama or something, swearing he's going to change the business" Howe barked via telephone Saturday afternoon. "Then something actually happens, and he's completely useless. Guys run in from the crowd and jump his wrestlers, and he's got nothing. Typical."

Vin Gerard has not contacted us at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com in any way. Multiple phone calls and emails have gone unanswered.

Three Debuts And A Decade Old Rivalry: Matt Turner, Doshu Sappo, and Khufu arrive in Action Unlimited.

Bruno DeMaio's presence at "Winter Showcase" was expected, announced. His challenge at the beginning of the show to the winner of the main event was something that anyone who has any experience with Bruno could have called, and indeed, expected. The arrival of Matt Turner on the scene was a bit of a gasp moment, but anyone who has followed Turner's career, or Bruno's for that matter, could probably have predicted Turner's presence. They are, after all, current tag-team partners in a host of east coast Pro Wrestling promotions, and have trained together for nearly a decade.

Not even the arrival of Doshu Sappo, who's own story we have covered on this blog, was much of a shakeup. Arriving after Bruno called him out of the dressing room, Doshu's words and their results left the audience and staff of Action Unlimited speechless.

"It's true that you took me out 10 years ago, Bruno. You left me broken in half...but I'm back. I'm here in Action Unlimited, and I'm not alone. I have someone with me who's blood you've spilled. You took him out a decade ago , too. Now, like me, he is here for revenge. KHUFU HAS COME FOR YOU!"

A furious Bruno snatched up the house mic and grabbed Doshu's collar. "Smarter guys than you know not to say that name around me. Everyone knows that (former Valley competitor) Adam Morris is dead and buried. He's been retired forever...."

"...but the spirit LIVES!" Doshu responded. "He is reborn...he is here NOW!..."

"I've had enough of this" DeMaio shouted, and as he did, the entire Wright Township Firehall and every one of it's 200+ occupants were drenched in total darkness. When the lights returned, Bruno set his eyes on "The Hammer of Giza" for the first time in a decade. Reborn into a new body, the mighty "Butcher Of Egypt" has gained in size, strength, and speed from his previous incarnation. This Khufu, more savage, more vacant, and more homicidal then ever before.

Setting on DeMaio immediately, Turner instinctively defended his 350+ lb partner, prompting Doshu Sappo to join in the brawl. What resulted in 15 of the most violent, depraved, and vicious minutes Wright Township Firehall has ever seen. Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin ordered the locker room cleared and order was restored after several minutes,

It is unclear if Doshu Sappo or Khufu work in Action Unlimited. Calls to Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin have not been returned timely as of late. For the record, both Turner and DeMaio are recognized Action Unlimited competitors.

The Westies Become Action Unlimited's FIRST Tag Team Champions.

Action Unlimited Ring Announcer Chris Decker may have put it best when he conducted an interview with The Westies following their Championship victory this past Sunday; "By hook or by crook, The Westies have done it. They are the new Action Unlimited Tag Team Champions."

The road to victory wasn't all wine and roses for the new champions. In the first round, they faced "The Mystery Team" of Sgt. Bob Dick and Sgt. JP Karpovich....Guts & Glory, a team with a notable history with both Westies. In fact, several times throughout the bout, a GNG victory seemed only moments away. Sgt Dick's poor temper, mixed with an equally cranky referee led do a Guts & Glory DQ loss....as well as a "Fire For Effect" on a victorious (and battered) Head The Ice Crusher.

Immediately following the match, a man ran out of the crowd and attacked "Banger" Ritch Howe from behind. "Banger" and the as-yet identified man scrapped at ringside for several minutes before the assailant fled through the front door of Wright Township Fire. We do understand that the man was detained by event security as he attempted to leave the parking lot, though no name or face has yet been released.

In the finals, the battered Westies faced Ryan Zero and Mike Vaughn...a team that had a challenging, but successful first round performance against the debuting team of High Voltage and Cletus Gambino. Possessing the best tag skills of any other team in the tournament, Vaughn and Zero's statement in the first round was heard loud and clear by the live crowd. They entered the finals facing The Westies recognized as the odds on favorites....

A steel chair changed all that.

After a brutal match which showcased the very best of each teams repoitore, Ryan Zero was able to make a well-timed tag and enter the fray when Vaughn needed his help the most. Taking on both Westies by himself, Zero had suceeded in locking "Banger" in his "D-Riot" submission and had victory in his grasp. Unfortunately, the referee was preoccupied with removing Vaughn from the ring, and completely missed Ice Crusher entering illegally and striking Zero with a foreign object...in this case, a steel chair. It marks the second time in as many showcases that The Westies have used a steel chair to dramatically alter the outcome of a tournament. This time, the benefactors of such an attack were themselves.

Begrudgingly, we here at Action Unlimited would like to congratulate "Banger" Ritch Howe and Head The Ice Crusher, The Westies, on becoming the first-ever Action Unlimited Tag Team Champions.

UPSET OF THE YEAR! - "INDESTRUCTIBLE" A.J. EVERS WINS ANTHRACITE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!

When the referee's hand hit the mat for the third time in Sunday nights main event, former champion Mike Collis spun around to face him and held up two fingers.

"Two?" he asked in desperation

The referee shook his head. Holding up three fingers, the referee looked directly at Collis and simply said "Three" before calling for the bell. In that moment, the crowd realized what they had just seen. Unranked AJ Evers, the upstart rookie who found himself at the center of controversy surrounding this title opportunity, earned the biggest victory of his young career....and became a champion in one swoop.Action Unlimited has a new Anthracite Champion...and the new champion is still just as shocked as the rest of the world.

"I just can't believe it" Evers told us in the dressing room following his victory Sunday night. "I've dreamed of being a champion all my life. I never dreamed it would happen so fast."

The former champion, while visibly dejected, was total class.

"Tonight was his night" Collis told us. "Sometimes, no matter what you do, they guy across the ring from you has your number. People talked about AJ's inexperience, but he was beyond talented tonight. Plus, he was extremely lucky. Ask any card player and they'll tell you: it's always better to be lucky than good."

Evers luck, however, will be in question come this February 25th, when Bruno DeMaio cashes in his No.1 contender's title opportunity against the young champion. We hope to have comments from everyone involved in this situation in the coming days.

An interview segment with Bruno DeMaio and Matt Turner turned into an improptu brawl involving Bruno, Turner, a returning Doshu Sappo, and a debuting Khufu. The 4 person brawl went all over the building for several minutes, and was finally broken up by members of the roster.

The Westies defeated Mike Vaugh and Ryan "Acid" Zero by pinfall to become the first Action Unlimited Tag Team Champions.

Vacula Declines; "Banger" To Compete In Tag Championship Mini-Tournament

As of 12:00 am January 1st, controversial Wilkes-Barre college student Justin Vacula has failed to respond to a challenge laid out by Action Unlimited competitor "Banger" Ritch Howe approx. 1 week ago. Howe had stated in his interview with WKRZ Radio Personality "Jumpin" Jeff Walker that Vacula had until midnight New Years Day to respond.

According to Howe, Mr. Vacula has made no attempt to contact him. We at Action Unlimited blogspot have likewise received no correspondence from Justin Vacula of any sort. We can only assume , under the circumstances, that Mr. Vacula's silence can only mean he is declining the challenge. Howe had stated during his interview with Walker that, should Vacula decline, Ritch would be competing in the Tag-Team Championship Mini-Tournament on January 10 as part of "Action Unlimited II: Winter Showcase".

Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin had remarked early on in this controversial situation that Howe had already signed, and was therefore expected to compete in the tournament. We , again, can only assume this to be the situation, and we will do our best to confirm all information as soon as possible.

As we probably should have expected, the equally controversial "Banger" Ritch Howe has promised a statement in the near future.

Head The Ice Crusher

- Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion "Cannon" Mike Collis was in action over the Christmas break for the first time since his rib injury November 20th. As you remember, Collis was assaulted by The Westies following his match in the semi-final round of the Anthracite Championship Tournament, and competed in the finals against Bruno DeMaio with a severe rib injury. Wrestling his first match since his Championship victory a few weeks back, "The Cannon" looked remarkably well. His ribs, while still bandaged, had no real effect on the outcome, and "The Champ" is confident that he will be 100% by January 10th.

- While his partner busies himself challenging non-wrestlers in the mainstream media, Head The Ice Crusher has been diligently preparing for his January 10 Tag Team Championship opportunity. Rumor has it that Rachel Townsend has been personally overseeing his training, guaranteeing that "The Crusher" has been hard at work in the gym and on the mat...adding more devastating manuevers to his repoitoire. Will January 10 be the day that the unpinned rookie monster is finally put in check, or will he and his new manager be able to pull their controversial partner's head (no pun intended) out of the clouds long enough to win Anthracite Gold? All these questions will be answered January 10th at Wright Township Fire.

- We need to point out an innacuracy that has come to our attention. In several past entries, we have referred to AJ Evers as the Number 1 contender to the Action Unlimited Anthracite Championship. To correct this, we will state clearly that while AJ Evers will recieve a title shot on January 10, Bruno DeMaio is the recognized number 1 contender. Evers was offered the match when DeMaio was not medically cleared in time to compete. Bruno does have a title match due him, and we can all safely assume he will pursue it sooner than later. We apologize for any confusion.

- We've recieved a number of strange e-mails this week.

The first unusual piece of email we recieved was from a Mr. Reggie Washington-Carver, proprietor of the local "Sunshine Car Wash Company" located just down the road from Wilkes-Barre. Mr. Washington-Carver, apparantly, has been hot on the trails of one Leroy "Cadillac" Stanks, a highly dubious individual who made his debut at the November 20th showcase. According to Washington-Carver, Cadillac failed to, and this is a direct quote, "obtain from me permissive permission to attend any jail or prison functions, whether mandatory or otherwise." and that Stanks "owes (Washington-Carver) time on the brushes."

Mr. Washington-Carver then took the time to remind us that automobiles do not, in fact, wash themselves. He further stated that Cadillac is already scheduled to work the 3-11 shift at "Sunshine" that day, although our gut tells us that Leroy "Cadillac" Stanks will definitely be in attendance and in action come January 10.

The second email wasn't any less strange.

Addressed to "Bruno DeMaio c/o Action Unlimited Anthracite Wrestling", the message ran several screens of odd symbols and backwards letters presented in a seemingly random pattern. At the very bottom of the screen read a small message, re-posted below.

"Do you remember, Bruno? Has your mirror learned to hide those scars from you? Do you remember your blood pouring freely from you? The time is close, Bruno. He is coming back, Bruno. He is coming for your blood."

It was signed in Japanese font. When translated, it reads "Doshu Sappo". Our research has turned up a Doshu Sappo who competed in the Pennsylvania Underground back in the early 00's. Efforts to respond to this email were unanswered.

Bruno DeMaio Issues Statement Regarding January 10th Title Match

350+pound "War Machine" Bruno DeMaio broke his silence today via telephone conversation with us here at AnthraciteWrestling.Blogspot.com. DeMaio, who was injured at the November 20th showcase and is still due a future Championship opportunity, took time to verbally blast the head offices of Action Unlimited and pointed his frustration squarely at Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin.

"Since when do Fireman, or bakers, or milkmen....since when do they make calls around here?" Bruno hissed as his verbal tirade began. "What gives Garvin the right to have random people decide who gets title shots? Everybody sees Ted Garvin buddying up to Mike Collis because he thinks Collis is his ticket...he's the man with the gold. He knows Collis is a punk, though. You watch....he'll feed every untrained tomato can he can find at his champion to keep him looking pretty."

By virtue of his placement in the finals of the Anthracite Title tournament, Bruno DeMaio was guaranteed a future title shot, regardless of what the outcome of the finals would be. Both contestants entered that match with the understanding that, win or lose, they would be given another opportunity at the title and be given the rank of number 1 contender. And while Action Unlimited does recognize Bruno DeMaio as the number 1 contender to the Anthracite Championship, DeMaio was not medically cleared in time to sign on for a rematch. Just last week, Ted Garvin announced that unranked rookie AJ Evers would receive a title opportunity and main event the 1/10 showcase, effectively replacing Bruno and leaving the giant War Machine without an opponent.

"What more proof do you need? You replace a 350lb man....a tournament finalist with a track record...you take him out of the match, right? And you replace him with a kid who hasn't even had 20 professional matches...and you put THAT kid up against an 8 year veteran who did a tour of Afghanistan and bounces heads in a federal prison 5 days a week. Nobody thinks thats crooked? If Ritch (Howe) had pulled this s*** a few years back, oh...that's all anyone'd be talking about. But Ted Garvin does it right under your noses, and nobody bats an eyelash? That's Action Unlimited for you, I guess."

Bruno, to that point, had dodged a very important question: His role in the cowardly assault carried out on Mike Collis in the semi-finals of the Anthracite Title Tournament by members of The Westies. To their somewhat appalling credit, both Westies were quick to fess up to the fact that, as suspected by many, they had been hired by an unnamed party to carry out the assault on Collis, presumably removing him from the tournament. Bruno, however, hadn't yet made a statement as of his phone call.

"They told you about that, did they? Couple of cagey dogs those two. It's all right....them guys are definitely going to get broken necks and head trauma from me soon enough. Yeah, I wanted a job done. Instead, these two go crazy and get themselves chased right out of the ring. Then they come back, all smiles, walked right out the door with my money. I figure a little insurance is never a bad thing, but those two guys screwed me. Next time I see them, I'll straighten them two right out."

Bruno left us with a parting statement that was, while expected, powerful and direct:

"When Collis is done fighting teenagers for charity he has nothing but a War Machine waiting for him. I hope slapping that kid around makes him confident. I can't wait to break his ego and become Anthracite Champion. And if Collis should slip on a banana peel, I'll take the Jack Briscoe looking kid in his spot. Don't matter to me...just another body murdered."

Challenge Issued: "Banger" Ritch Howe Appears live on WKRZ, Issues $1000.00 Challenge To Justin Vacula as part of "The Jeff Walker Show"

The much-rumored open challenge by "Banger" Ritch Howe to controversial college student Justin Vacula was officially issued December 23rd on WKRZ FM's "The Jeff Walker Show". Radio Personality "Jumpin" Jeff Walker, who is a confessed pro wrestling fanatic, conducted the interview with "Banger" following his heated on-air debate with Justin Vacula on December 18th that saw Vacula end the interview prematurely. Following his appearance on WKRZ, Vacula has refused all media requests for statements or interviews. By contrast, Howe's interview, while no less controversial, was much more cordial.

"You're a what...not an amateur wrestler." Walker asked.

"You're killing me, Jeff." Banger shot back.

Semi-pro?" Walker asked.

"As far as (Vacula's) concerned, I'm the damned devil." Howe responded.

The outspoken Banger's tone didn't soften as the interview continued.

"So...what exactly would you do with..um, or to...Justin Vacula should he accept your challenge?" Walker questioned.

"Oh, I'll definitely teach that boy some manners. He'll find God...oh, he'll pray come January 10th. Believe me when I say it, Jeff. He'll pray to the God he hates come January 10th." was Ritch's reply.

Jeff Walker then pointed the conversation towards the charity event on January 10th and Action Unlimited recent charity activity, but Howe was uninterested.

"I'll give you Ted Garvin's number if you want to talk about his promotion" Howe told Walker " If you're gonna try to turn this into the Ted Garvin show, then we're all done."

"Thats definitely not the case." Walker responded.

"This is my time. This deal is my deal. I found the donor and the money. Ted Garvin doesn't get to steal my heat this time." Ritch told Walker. In calmer moments, Howe did admit that he was happy to be performing for such a worthy cause, and was somewhat looking forward to performing in Mountaintop again.

"The people in Mountaintop aren't TOO bad. Mostly we get little kids and parents and stuff. When I start headbutting the scrubs between their eyes....the people in Mountaintop appreciate it. They're the kind of people who will hate your guts, but still cheer when you do something brutal." Ritch said. "Lucky for them, I intend to do lots of brutal stuff."

Action Unlimited has agreed to host a Howe vs Vacula "Folk Rules" exhibition on January 10th. An anonymous donor has agreed to donate $1000.00 in Justin Vacula's name to the Christopher Krout family on 1/10 should Vacula accept. Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin has put an expiration of midnight January 1st as the deadline to accept. Should Vacula decline "Banger's" challenge, Ritch will enter the 1/10 Tag Team Championship mini-Tournament with partner Head "The Ice Crusher".

As of this writing, Justin Vacula has not responded to said challenge in any way.

Fire Destroys Home Of Wright Township Firefighter

A long-time Mountain Top volunteer firefighter lost his home to a fire on the morning of Friday, November 27th.

Chris Krout, Lieutenant and Training Officer for the Wright Township Fire Department, was en route with his family to North Carolina, when he received the call that his own home was on fire.

The home at 491 South Main Road was completely destroyed in the blaze, along with several vehicles and a camper. Krout and his family had lived at the home for approximately ten years.

The State Fire Marshall investigated the cause of the fire, but no official report has yet been released.

Krout has been a member of the Wright Township Fire Department since 2001, according to Randy Case, a volunteer firefighter with the Department who also serves as its President.

BREAKING NEWS- Christopher Krout Will Be In The Corner Of AJ Evers 1/10

As the circumstances of AJ Ever's sudden ascent to the number 1 contendership began to unfold, Wright Township Fireman Christopher Krout made his name and presence felt as he announced that he would manage and second Evers during his title opportunity January 10th. It will mark Evers first title opportunity in pro wrestling, and will be Krout's debut in the managment field.

As most know, Chris Krout's family lost their home on Thanksgiving day to a freak blaze that destroyed everything the family owned. Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin immediately announced "Action Unlimited 2: Winter Showcase" as a benefit showcase with all proceeds benefitting Krout's family. As a personal favor to Krout, Garvin granted his request to name AJ Evers no.1 contender, effectively giving Evers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to claim championship gold.

"Action Unlimited is, and will always be, a place for opportunity" stated Ted Garvin. "We do, and we will, recognise a standard ranking system. We will also grant arbitrary opportunities from time to time. I will deliver to our fans the very best showcase each and every time. In speaking to Mike (Collis, Action Unlimited Anthracite Champion), I definitely got the impression that he thinks highly of AJ, and is extremely happy to be able to make his first title defense against an athlete with the heart and drive of Evers. I anticipate a very spirited contest between these two."

In speaking with us, Mike Collis was just as optimistic, and extremely confident, as he was in dealings with the CEO.

"Pound for pound, AJ may be the best athlete on the roster right now." Collis commented "Sure, I'd like to prove my case against Bruno DeMaio...erase the doubts about my title win. I definitely want a piece of both "Westies" as soon as I get a chance. All of that stuff can wait, though. For this event...with how important it is to the families involved, to our community and everything...it's important that we make a statement. I expect AJ will show up very prepared and that he will take this opportunity very seriously."

Since the announcement of this Main Event match, AJ Evers has be uncommunicative, with heavy speculation having Evers engaged in a rigorous training regimen to prepare for his title opportunity January 10th. Action Unlimited endorses "Banger's" Challenge; Howe rumored to appear on Steve Corbett Show today.

In an absolutely stunning move, Action Unlimited : Anthracite Wrestling has ENDORSED "Banger" Ritch Howe's challenge to controversial NEPA personality Justin Vacula.

"This has less to do with bowing to Howe's wishes and more to do with bringing in as much money as we possibly can for the Christopher Krout family." said Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin this morning via telephone. " I have personally spoken to the rumored donor, and there's really no rumor pr mystery about it anymore. (The donor) has authorized us to make an offer to Justin Vacula, so we will. And since Ritch is so well entrenched in the situation already, he can go ahead and clean up his own mess. In short, if Ritch wants to challenge Justin Vacula for 1/10 at Action Unlimited 2, we will support his decision, and accommodate the match in any way we can."

The hypothetical match, which is far from a finished deal, would be presented as an exhibition to accommodate Mr. Vacula's status as a non-wrestler. The bout would be a singe round 5 minute affair. Both men will be barred from striking in any manner, and both men must keep the action inside the ring. Should Mr. Vacula accept these terms, $1000.00 will be donated in Justin Vacula's name to the Christopher Krout family.

As we have covered here in the last several weeks, Christopher Krout is a Wright Township Firefighter who lost his home to a Thanksgiving Day blaze. Action Unlimited: Anthracite Wrestling presents "Action Unlimited 2: Winter Showcase" on January 10th at Wright Township Firehall as a benefit for the Krout family. It has been heavily rumored that Howe will make his much anticipated challenge Monday evening live as part of the Steve Corbett radio show on WILK 103.1. The show runs from 3pm to 7pm EST.

Justin Vacula has yet to respond publicly to the challenge or acknowledge Howe's comments in any way.

Breaking News: "Banger" Challenges Non-Wrestler Justin Vacula for 1/10?????

We're getting more details as the day goes on, but they're very sketchy. "This person told that person" sketchy. I beg the reader to take this information with a grain of salt.

From what we can gather, at some point on Friday evening Action Unlimited wrestler "Banger" Ritch Howe dropped a challenge to the controversial Justin Vacula. Vacula is a Wilkes-Barre area college student who has gained considerable controversy in the local media for his staunch social beliefs. Howe, without the permission of Action Unlimited, made a challenge to this effect : If Justin Vacula accepts a five minute exhibition match (Justin Vacula , mind you, is in no way, shape, or form a trained pro wrestler) an unnamed person will donate $1000.00 to Christopher Krout and family, the charity "Action Unlimited 2: Winter Showcase" is set to benefit January 10.

Earlier today we contacted Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin. While obviously very apprehensive about the situation, Garvin stated that he had heard the rumors we had heard, but was also not in a position to comment on Ritch's challenge. He also reiterated that "Banger" is currently scheduled to contend for the new Anthracite Tag Team Championship teaming with Head The Ice Crusher on January 10th, and has heard no news of any lineup changes. In short, Garvin has no news, and as of this writing, has not endorsed or acknowledged Howe's actions.

Ritch Howe, for his part, has gone unusually quiet. Outside of posts on his personal Facebook ( some of the recent entries include: "Hahahahahahaha Judges sold kids into slavery....and are more popular than Justin "Eat Me" Vacula." and "...Looks like Justin Vacula eats s&!t. $10 says we never hear his name again.") "Banger" has been uncharacteristically mum regarding the situation.

Ritch has announced that, at some point Monday evening, he will contact WILK 103.1 FM personality Steve Corbett and make his challenge live on air.

Justin Vacula has made no comment regarding "Banger" Ritch Howe in any outlet.

An Open Letter From Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin

My goals as founder and CEO of Action Unlimited is to present the best quality show possible and to bring pro wrestling home to northeast PA for the fans and the wrestlers. Much faster than we anticipated, and thanks in full to the tremendous support of our fans, Action Unlimited is the number 1 Pro Wrestling promotion in northeast PA. I personally will take every opportunity I get to thank the wonderful fans of our product for their support, and guarantee them that I will always do everything in my power to present the very finest in Pro Wrestling.

Over the Thanksgiving holiday, Christopher Kraut took his family to visit relatives in the Carolinas. When they returned home the next day, they found that their home had been engulfed by a massive fire in their absence, and that everything they owned was now ashes. Christopher Kraut has been a member of the Wright Township Fire Department for several years, and has assisted in saving countless homes from the very same fate that befell his own. Now, in this holiday season, and with the Kraut family needing everyone's support, we at Action Unlimited will do everything in our power to see that the Krauts are not left out in the cold. On January 10th, we present our second action-packed night of Pro Wrestling with "Winter Showcase 2010" eminating live from Wright Township Fire Company in Mountaintop. Wright Township Firehall's time in the pro wrestling business predates my own, but I have seen and personally attended many shows at Wright Township in the past. This time, however, it's OUR turn to showcase OUR brand of Anthracite Wrestling for the first time in Mountaintop...and the cause couldn't be better.

On a final note, much has been made of my decision to rate previously unranked AJ Evers to the role of number 1 contender. Indeed much can be made of the point that Evers has not beaten anyone to deserve a title shot. Moreso perhaps is the concern that AJ Evers is, to my understanding, 18 years old and "hasn't yet had 20 professional matches". Bruno DeMaio has even openly stated bias against him as he does have a guaranteed title shot owed to him. These are all valid points, yet they do not sway my decision. I'm sure everyone can understand my position if they look closely.

Action Unlimited is, and will always be, a company founded and based on opportunity...not guarantees. In speaking with several members of the Action Unlimited staff, including Mike Collis himself, I became aware of how highly everyone regards AJ. Very few people I have spoken to over the last few weeks have overlooked his efforts in and outside of Anthracite Wrestling. Evers possesses skills akin to any other roster member while also being the youngest. I'm very interested to see what Evers can do with a title shot. To be completely honest, I really think this will be a fantastic match. In speaking with AJ, it certainly seems like he understands fully what he stands to gain should he be successful. Mike Collis, on the other hand, is a champion who has faced more proven competetion than AJ. Remember also that while Collis had the endurance to face off against 3 heavyweights en route to the championship, Evers didn't even escape the first round. Again...interesting.

Rachel Townsend arrives in Action Unlimited; immediately signs "The Westies"

Valley Pro Wrestling personality Rachel Townsend announced today via her personal Facebook that she would soon debut in Action Unlimited. The vivacious and highly controversial Townsend then dropped a bombshell. In a direct quote "Ritch and I have an understanding."

Literally moments later, we received a message from our people in the head offices, and it was juicy: Rachel Townsend has signed The Westies and is their exclusive manager. To get things rolling, she immediately entered her new charges into the 4 Team Championship tournament on January 10th. In just over three weeks, we will see first hand what effect "Lay Rae" will have.

Without a doubt, Ms. Townsend's reputation does precede her. In 2007, Rachel managed "The New Jersey Independent All Stars" to much success on the NEPA Pro Wrestling scene. Her "backstage" romance with Valley competitor Jerry "Vin Gerard" Durling was hardly kept secret, and it was a visible driving force behind several of HIS controversial actions around the same time. Both Durling and Townsend would leave soon afterward, but not before finding herself in yet ANOTHER bizarre backstage situation with promoter Richard Wech. Townsend's return was negotiated by Wech several months later, but when Townsend failed to appear for several scheduled appearances, the writing was on the wall.

This is, however, a very different situation. Townsend shares blood with a member of "The Westies"; she is the half-sister of one "Banger" Ritch Howe. And with bonds of loyalty now definitely stronger than ever to her clients, will Rachel repeat her success of a few years ago, or will she and her team get swallowed by the drama cloud yet again?

Anthracite Tag Team Titles to be decided January 10th

In bringing a new regional championship to the area, Action Unlimited: Anthracite Wrestling made NEPA history in 2009 when we crowned our very first Anthracite Champion. Looking to make NEPA history once again in 2010, Action Unlimited: Anthracite Wrestling announced today a 4 team "Mini-tournament" to crown the very first ever Action Unlimited Anthracite Tag Team Champions.

The competing teams, unique in both styles and experience, will take part in the opening two matches of "Winter Showcase" with the winners of these respective bouts to face each other in the second half of the showcase. Each team, handpicked by Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin, carries with it undeniable abilities and a drive to make history. Here are the participants...

1) The New Franchise- Japan's favorite American tag team "returns to the states" to compete on January 10th. Of the announced teams, none has the experience tagging exclusively that the New Franchise possesses. Ric Ryder, the obvious "Enforcer" is an intimidating sight and force, while K'ras Van Tasle, technical standout with a concrete jaw, seems the tactician of the two. Make no mistake about it; The New Franchise is VERY capable of becoming the first Action Unlimited Anthracite Tag Team Champions.

2) "Wild Thing" Mikey Vaughn & Ryan "Acid" Zero- Vaughn makes his return to NEPA competition on this night as he teams for the very first time with lightening quick Ryan "Acid" Zero. Vaughn and Zero met only weeks ago at an Action Unlimited training session and have made arrangements to team ever since. According to reports, Vaughn has put on a good deal of muscle and is hitting harder than ever. Mixing "Wild Thing's" precision and strike accuracy with Zero's fearless ring style is a recipe for success many have said. This may be the team to watch on January 10.

3) The Westies- Fresh from a cowardly, two-on-one, Pearl Harbor attack on Anthracite Champion Mike Collis, Head The Ice Crusher and "Banger" Ritch Howe slime their way into the third slot of the mini-tournament. Easily the most hated competitors in Action Unlimited, Howe and Crusher have upped their chances just hours ago by signing exclusively with talent manager Rachel Townsend, a young lady who has a tremendous track record managing teams in NEPA....as well as a tremendous reputation for causing trouble wherever she goes. Having Ms. Townsend at the helm of The Westies is, as on competitor told me, "like adding matches to dynamite and gasoline."

4) The Mystery Team- Virtually nothing that was generally stated about the competitors can be 100% applied to this team. The reason? We have absolutely no idea who they are, and no one will tell us anything!

To be fair, we did speak to Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin about the situation, he did assure us that while he wouldn't reveal the identity of the team until January 10th, he promised that "everyone will definitely have a good time with this." Knowing Garvin's recent penchant for shaking things up (more on that later today) it can be virtually assured that whatever he has up his sleeve will be a complete surprise for The Westies, who won't know the identity of their opponents until they step into the ring.

DeMaio Still Injured; Rookie AJ Evers Named No. 1 Contender

Those fans in attendance live on November 20th of this year witnessed Anthracite Tournament finalist "War Machine" Bruno DeMaio suffer what many thought could be a very serious injury. Bruno, a monster of a man tipping the scales at well over 350lbs, was brought down from behind by Anthracite Champion Mike Collis, twisting his knee and bringing the big man crashing to the mat.

Bruno has vented his frustration is several outlets, making it clear that he was aware of the injury and how serious it may have been. He further claims this to be the reason for his surrender during the matches final moments....and not because of the effect of Collis' "Fallujah Neckvice". DeMaio's surrender has made Collis the champion, DeMaio reminds us, but Bruno himself has a guaranteed rematch by virtue of his appearance in the final round of the tournament.

Fate, it seems, always has a way of complicating things.

First, there is good news and bad news for Bruno. Action Unlimited ringside physician, Dr. Patrick "Skip" Krenwinkle, was on hand to give Bruno immediate care. He has diagnosed Bruno's knee issue as "simple to low moderate" and has stated that Bruno won't miss any significant time. The good doctor was able to perform a simple therapeutic procedure, and DeMaio was able to walk out of the arena on his own power. As of this writing, Bruno is healthy will be on hand January 10th, a promise he has made to this reporter personally.

Unfortunately for Bruno, now for the bad news.

While Bruno does have a title opportunity due him, Dr Krenwinkle would not clear Bruno medically in time for Bruno to sign for a title match on January 10th. With the date drawing closer, and with the obvious importance on a quality showcase, Action Unlimited CEO Ted Garvin made a perplexing and intriguing decision regarding the Championship bout at Winter Showcase: Replacing DeMaio in the contest with unranked rookie AJ Evers, who has had less than 20 professional matches.

Happy Holidays Action-holics!

On January 10th, Pro Wrestling returns to Mountaintop like never before with Action Unlimited: Anthracite Wrestling. On this date, Action Unlimited will host "Winter Showcase 2010: Collis vs Evers" LIVE at the Wright Township Firehall (477 S. Main Road Mountaintop). This showcase, the first Pro Wrestling showcase in Mountaintop in almost 2 year, will be a fundrasier for Chris Kraut and family, who lost their home to a Thanksgiving day fire. Action Unlimited and our sponsors have volunteered the day to this wonderful cause, and will donate all proceeds from the even directly to the family.

We here at Action Unlimited: Anthracite Wrestling and our families were deeply saddened and moved to action by the terrible events that have befallen Mr. Kraut. For those unaware, Mr. Kraut and family left for a holiday excursion to visit family several states away. While they were gone, a fire started int heir home, leaving it completely destroyed. All of the family's possessions, including a family car and all of their personal belongings, were also destroyed, leaving the Kraut's in a very tough position this holiday season. Action Unlimited will stand up and do what they can on January 10th....and we wholeheartedly encourage you to do the same.
